Comments by Joan Boney: In the 1970's God gave me the following dream.
Destruction was everywhere.
In the dream, a man was speaking to a small group of people and I went in and began to listen to what he was saying.
A second man rushed into the room and said, "Stop ... wait ... can't you see ... it's too late ... it's already begun." And he vanished from sight.
The first man resumed speaking. No one in the room seemed to want to know "what had already begun." But I wanted to know and I looked out the windows to see. What I saw was shocking and horrible. There was a tall pole and on top of the pole there was a yellow civil defense type speaker which was set there to warn the people. Out of the speaker there was a white gas coming which I knew would kill the people and that deadly gas was coming directly toward the room where we were sitting and listening to the man speaking.
I looked at the man who was sitting next to me. He had a big smile on his face and he was staring attentively at the man who was speaking. And then I saw it, This man was dead! though he seemed alive. He was already a corpse.
I looked at the others in the room and saw they were also dead people, though they seemed to be very attentive to the man who was speaking.
And as I continued to sit among them, I began to feel drowsy. I knew the gas coming from the speaker would kill me also if I sat there.

A few weeks later, on a Wednesday night, I went to Word of Faith church where our pastor, Robert Tilton, was speaking.
I sat down and began to listen.
Then I glanced at the man who was sitting next to me. I was very shocked! He was the man who was the corpse in the poison gas dream!
I looked at the others in the room and they looked like the same people in the poison gas dream.
Immediately I got up and took my things and went into the Rest Room and began praying. I said to God, "I think YOU are telling me to leave this church. So I'm going to get into my car and drive away but if YOU want me to return I will turn around and come back."
God didn't show me to return. After I left God began showing me some incorrect doctrine that was being taught at that church group.
The pastor taught this: If you want a red pickup, find a photo of such and put it on your refrigerator door where you see it daily. In time, you will figure out how to get that pick up. (This was being taught as "faith". Also they taught us to find a scripture which justified our desire and to "claim" that scripture daily.)
But that was not faith as God was teaching me!
What God taught me was to have faith in what God said to me by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit would bring a scripture to my mind, or a concept. And God taught me to meditate in that day and night as the following scripture told us to do.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
(The Holy Spirit searches the heart of God to reveal the will of God to us, the children of God.)
1 Cor. 2 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him (OT). 10 (NT) But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
(In the New Testament church God gives HIS Holy Spirit to all who are born again but in the Old Testament only a few, mainly prophets, were given the Holy Spirit. That makes a very big difference. Now we who have the Holy Spirit in us can know the will of God for us as the Holy Spirit shows that will to us.)
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

First, God speaks to us by HIS Spirit, showing us the will of God. We follow HIM.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
There is a subtil difference between what God was teaching me and what they were doing at that church group.
They were teaching: If you want something, find a scripture to claim as your right to that which you wanted. Claim it daily. In time you would get what you wanted.
I wanted to marry: I found a scripture to claim: "None shall want her mate." (Isaiah 34:16)
I wrote that scripture in the front page of my Bible and claimed it daily during the years I attended Word of Faith. (Approximately 1977-1982)
I dated several men, one said to me, "Joan, don't stop praying about our getting married." And after saying that, he just disappeared! (I knew it was God causing this.)
During the time I owned my business in American Indian Arts, I looked out the big front window of my shop and saw the man I was currently dating drive up and park, and I heard the following which I knew was the Holy Spirit speaking to me: "You can have all the money you want, but you are not going to have this!"
I thought God meant, I wouldn't be marrying Bob. (I didn't know I wouldn't be marrying anyone.)
My best friend told me she prayed and God said to her: "My grace is sufficient for her."
(I didn't want to hear that.)
Someone at the prayer group said something about my marrying a man from the church group, and then she said, "Unless it's not God will for Joan to marry ... but of course it's God's will for her to marry".)
Finally I decided it was just not God's will for me to marry. And I even agreed not to marry. Then everything got OK ... (I was a very new Christian at the time this happened and not very established in scripture yet.)
So far as I can recall, no one at Word of Faith mentioned seeking God's will! Just decide what you want and pursue that by claiming scripture in your prayer.
Later I learned this: I John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us: 15 And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM.
(Now I seek the will of God before I pray!)

God caused me to leave Word of Faith church by the dream of the poison gas coming from the speaker.
Later I learned about the apostasy that was ordained to come into the churches in the end time.
2 Thessalonians 2 (Paul says)
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

In 1982, as I read this, God said to me: "The falling away are not people leaving the church. The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures."
In the end times, churches would set up other doctrines and depart from that taught in the Bible. This even approves sin inside the congregation.
God said: People who sin often want to be approved in their sin, having the right to sin, freedom to sin and be approved by churches. The Holy Scriptures free us from our sin as we do the scriptures.
It is the end time. I have often heard older Christians say things have been so watered down at church today. That happens as some doctrines of Bible are eliminated and other doctrines approving various sins set up at church.
Here are a few:
Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
I Cor. 7:10-11 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
I Cor. 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
Romans 7:2-3 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Mark 10 (Jesus said) But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Paul says at the time of sexual intercourse the two become one flesh even if one of them is a "harlot" (prostitute) .
I Corinthians 6:15-18 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh. 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
Concerning homosexuals & lesbians: Romans 1:26-28 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
(Unrepentant homosexuals & lesbians are not accepted into the gathering of the church.)
I Corinthians 6:9-11 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

(But we must not return to sins after we receive the knowledge of it being sin.)
Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Jesus said to the woman taken in adultery: "Go ... and sin no more." (John 8)
Apparently some in churches return to their sins after they have been forgiven of that sin. I don't understand wanting to return to sin which is death.
Peter says the person who does this is worse off than he was before.
