πŸ’₯ Jesus warns us: Deception where people come saying they are Christians will be rampant in the last days.

Matthew 24

1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and HIS disciples came to HIM for to shew HIM the buildings of the temple.

2
And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3
And as HE sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto HIM privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

* The first thing Jesus warned them about was this:  deception

4
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5
For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

(Many will come to us saying they are Christians.  And because they say they are Christians they shall be able to deceive many.)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

As a new born again Christian in 1975, one of the churches I attended was a church named "Word of Faith."

The teacher of the singles class revealed himself to me by his own words but I was not heeding the message.  I was very immature and at that time had no idea anyone at church might be "deceptive" or might lead us in a wrong direction.

I'm certainly not looking for wrong doing but when something is wrong, the Holy Spirit in us warns us of that wrong doing ... but often we fail to recognize the message.

The man teaching our class was reading the following scripture:

Mark 10  (Jesus said)

6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

He read this to us but then he said:  "But God never joined some of us together."

(Devil twisting scripture.)

I was jarred by what this man said but he was a very attractive "divorced" man and I chose to overlook what he said but I knew he was wrong.

Many years later, I learned the following truth:

I Corinthians 6:15-16  (at the time of sexual intercourse two become one flesh.)

15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.

Paul is showing us sexual intercourse makes the two one flesh.  God is the one who designed it this way in the creation. And Paul warns, even if a man has sex with an harlot, that man becomes one flesh with her by the sexual intercourse ... so Paul says:  I Cor. 6:18  Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

The man teaching the singles class that day was saying what seemed clever, but he was really saying to us that he, a divorced man, was never put with his former wife by God.

But he ended up casting aside a scripture, denying the truth of the Bible.  This is antichrist!

Even as a very young born again Christian I did recognize he was casting away the truth of the Bible.

I recall we all laughed at his cleverness.

Today I find it sad.

Many preachers try to be clever to draw people to themselves.

The apostle Paul said he didn't do this.

I Corinthians 2:1-5   And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and HIM crucified.

3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Jesus warned us that there would be many who came to us in last days professing that they are of God and by that they would deceive many.  (Matthew 24:4-5  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.)

Example:

* We have a new neighbor.  He and his wife moved in across from our house.  He identified himself as being a Christian.  Then he said he moved to Colorado Springs to be closer to his children who live with their mother in nearby Denver and he could see his children more that way.

But what I heard him reveal is: he has a wife in Colorado Springs and another wife in Denver!  (The Holy Spirit opened my eyes with this statement to warn me.)  This man would be trouble though he calls himself a Christian!

And a few weeks later he asked us to have a fund raiser on our blog and podcast for an "evangelist" in Dubai who is about to be evicted for non payment of his rent.

Pam wrote to the neighbor telling him we never use our blog or podcast for fund raising, not even for our own ministry.  He said he understood.  I understand him also because of his "fruits" and because of what he said and what the Holy Spirit revealed to me concerning him ... to beware!)

Jesus said to us, concerning the last days, "Let no man deceive you."  Matthew 24:4

Many will come saying they are Christians but will deceive many.

Listen carefully to that which is brought to your mind by the Holy Spirit for it is truth.

Another example:  A man identified himself as a Christian.  His parents were missionaries.  In the first conversation I had with him, he "fought" against something I said, having no real understanding of the need to follow the Holy Spirit rather than the letter of the law.

I even saw he would have turned me away from doing the will of God because of his lack of understanding of what it was to really follow the Holy Spirit.

Some people think that no one can turn them from God.  This is unwise.

God gave us the example of King Solomon who loved "strange women."  God warned Solomon twice about them, that they would, in his old age turn him away from God, but Solomon didn't believe God.

I Kings 11

1 But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;

2 Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel,
Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.

3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.

4
For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

6
And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

7 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.

8
And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.

9 And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,
(to warn him)

10 And had commanded him concerning this thing,
that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.

11 Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept MY covenant and MY statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

12 Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father's sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.

13 Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.

A woman once told me about her daughter who had a boyfriend who had left the church. She proudly said her daughter had gone after him to persuade him to return to the church.  I said, "She will not cause him to return but he will draw her away from God."  This woman said that would not happen because her daughter's faith was too strong.  But I knew it would happen.

II Corinthians 6

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Hebrews 6

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put HIM to an open shame.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Be not presumptuous because of church attendance for many who attend a church are not born again by the Spirit of God.  They think themselves to be Christian because they joined a church and attend a church.  They think nothing can happen to them because of themselves and what they are doing.  Their faith is even in themselves, sadly.

In the last days of the great tribulation, Jesus says:

Matthew 24

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

24   For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Recently I told a young man he was not going to make it because he knew so little Bible.  He was shocked!

Our daily blog is filled with so much scripture and concepts of God that a person must work to get through that day's presentation.

But I do not hesitate to present all this material because I know you will need it to sustain yourself in the times of doubt which will arise because of the circumstances of this world today.

For myself and others I print many godly exhortations to help us endure to the end in faith in God and things of God.

A few days ago, I was so strickened with waves of doubt that I turned to God and just went back to basics:  That I knew God caused me to be born again by that word HE gave me in 1975, and I reviewed that which God said to me ... and I reviewed what happened the two times God took me into heaven and made me one with the Word of God.  And I endured by thinking on that until the attack stopped and the victory was mine though the word.

Sometimes I will just read one of the blogs and be comforted and endure the remaining hours of the day.

Jesus said:   But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  (Matthew 24:13)

You can't trust in church buildings.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

***

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for MY name's sake.
***

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

***

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

We are preaching the gospel of Jesus in all this world now by such things as Internet.

***

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

***

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

***

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

***

32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY words shall not pass away.

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

***

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
