The doctrine of man vs. the doctrine of God

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

As we go through life, we hear many sayings of man which they, and others, often consider as true without thinking of the word of God on the matter.

As I was watching a movie (Gone With The Wind), a man was speaking to his daughter and telling her how important the land is.  He said:  "Land is the only things that lasts.  Land is the only thing worth fighting for."

Instantly, the Holy Spirit rose up in me saying:  "That's not right."

And I was reminded of the doctrine of the Bible.

II Peter 3:10    But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11-14    Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Everything we can see with our natural eye will be destroyed.

Therefore the only thing lasting is the Word of God and it will endure forever!

Following after man's thinking is unprofitable for us unless his thinking is conformed to the Word of God.

People often want to divorce and remarry and their doctrine is based on what seems good to them and to other people.

They fail to consider this truth which is spoken by Jesus:

Mark 10:6-10    from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

***

Divorce came because of the hardness of man's heart.  Mark 10:4-5

But Jesus explained:

Mark 10:11-12   Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.   And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

And Jesus said:  whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.  Mt. 5:32

* If a man divorces a faithful wife and she remarries, she commits adultery when she marries another man, but the husband who divorced her will be held accountable and be the cause of the adultery she committed upon remarriage because he divorced a faithful wife.

*  The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

Doctrine for NT church by the commandment of the Lord, says the apostle Paul is as follows:

I Corinthians 7:10-11    And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:   But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

***

Then Paul gives his opinion on something:

I Corinthians 7:12-15    But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

The believing mate, lives as a believer.  If the unbelieving mate is "pleased" to dwell with the believer as a believer lives, do not divorce.  But if the unbeliever is not pleased to dwell with the believer as a believer lives, then let the unbeliever depart so the believer can live in peace.

Most people enter into a marriage "until death to them part"  making this vow before God which is in accordance with the will of God for marriage.

God set it up in a very interesting way:  At the time of sexual intercourse the two become one flesh.

Paul explains even if a man has sex with a prostitute, the two become one flesh.  (I Corinthians 6:16)

Therefore:  "Flee fornication."

I Corinthians 6:18   Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

The thinking of the human is very different from the doctrine of God and the thoughts of God.

Homosexuals & lesbians:

Romans 1:24-28    Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause
God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Drunkenness is a sin, not a disease as some think today:

Galatians 5:19-21    Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft (living in superstitions), hatred, variance (arguing), emulations (striving to out do another), wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
