We know devils can live in humans and in animals. We recall the Bible story of Jesus casting devils out of a man and sending those devils into swine (pigs).
Can a devil or a spirit "haunt a house"?

When I was a new Christian in 1975, I attended a prayer group in a private home.
In this group, there were 4 of us who went out to people's homes, upon request, to cast devils out of their houses.
It was all nonsense, I know now, but it was great fun at the time for we got to go to some big-time homes.
This was in Dallas. One home we went to was the home of the man who owned the Dallas Cowboy's Football Team in the 1970's, Clint Murchison. His second wife was in our prayer group and she asked us to come and cast "devils" out of her house.
Foolishness ... but people in church group love to do things they think are good.
And afterward, we all went to eat together at some restaurant ... and that was fun to us!

Some people probably read the following scripture and think devils can live in a piece of real-estate, a house.
Matthew 12:43-45 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
(The devils in this scripture lived inside a human and the "house" refers to the body of that human.)

Devils can live in humans and animals.
But there is no scripture reference that I know of showing devils living inside a natural wood/brick house.
Nor is there anything in Bible showing a house haunted by dead spirits.
All that is fiction, made up by people of the world, superstitions of men.
We cannot live in superstitions and inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft (superstitions), hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
