Philemon 1:6
That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the
acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

(Pam Padgett) ... Approximately 30 years ago while working as a computer programmer at Fedex I was assigned to help install a new computer application at the Memphis hub. There was only 1 other programmer working on this install, Richard. He was the project leader and had a good overall understanding of the entire system, while I had worked only on a part of the system.
One evening during dinner, Richard mentioned he was going on a vacation to Canada. I asked when he planned to take this vacation and was shocked when he said he was leaving that night, in just a few hours! I asked who was going to take care of the parts of the system that I didn't know. He said he supposed I would have to take care of anything that came up.
As soon as we got back to our work area, I asked some questions about things I thought might be needed, but there was so little time that I mostly just hoped nothing would go wrong.
The room where we worked had 4 doors. As Richard was walking out one door, people started coming through the other doors, reporting major problems. I called to Richard, but he simply told me what department I might call for help as he left.
About 200 people were depending on the system working to do their jobs, and if they couldn't do their jobs, several hundred packages from other countries couldn't be processed.
When I called the department Richard suggested, they were angry because proper procedures had not been followed when the system was being setup. At first, they refused to help. Finally, they made some suggestions, but wouldn't actually take any action themselves.
I was pretty much paralyzed with fear.
But as I was pleading with God for help, I was reminded of the following scripture:
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
I was in such a panic that it took a lot of effort to focus on what God tells us in this scripture, but I just kept thinking on the promise that God gives us a "sound mind". Also, the fear that was almost overwhelming to me was not from God. As I made myself focus on these things, I was calmed.
Then I started having thoughts (from the Holy Spirit) of what to do, one thing at a time. By doing each of these things, over the next 2 days I was able to get the system stabilized. By following each step shown me by the Holy Spirit, my thinking was "sound", and the way I was led worked.

(Joan Boney)
Recently I was watching a TV program and a man had to go through a considerable physical problem and I thought, "I don't believe I could go through that." and a little fear came to my mind.
God said to me by His Spirit: "God will not allow you to suffer above that ye are able." (I Cor. 10:13)
We will not have to go through anything we can't handle.
I Cor. 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
