* Meekness?

Meekness means:

Submitting to and doing the word of God.

Laying down your life and your personal preferences to do what God says.

***

In Abraham's case:

Genesis 12

Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

So Abraham left his country, and his kindred and his father's house ... and went out, not know where he was going, but trusting that God would lead him.

***

In Paul's case:

Acts 9

And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

***

Matthew 9:9   And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and HE (Jesus) saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed HIM.

***

Each time we have a scripture called to our attention and we follow that scripture, we do exactly what we saw Abraham, Paul, and Matthew do.  For Jesus is The Word.  We simply leave all opposite to that word and follow the instruction of The Word.

This is "meekness", in the sight of God.
