Joan Boney ... apostle / prophet
Jesus, THE WORD, was made flesh and dwelt among us.
Why did Jesus come in the form of flesh as a man?
This is explained to us the following scripture:
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Jesus had to come in the form of a human in order to suffer as a human, yet without sin, to buy our redemption from sin and death.
Angels are spirits, in form of spirits, though from time to time they can look like a man. When the three angels came to Abraham, he saw them in shapes of humans, they looked like humans.
Genesis 18:1-2 And the LORD appeared unto him (Abraham) in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,
But angels do not have the fleshly emotions of humans, nor the fleshly pains of humans.
Jesus was made "a little lower" (in form of a human) than the angels, and was come to this world as flesh, though HE was born through Mary by the Holy Ghost and not through natural man.
The people thought Joseph was the father and Mary the mother, but we know by the Bible, this was not the case.
Matthew 1:18-25 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called His name JESUS.
Jesus was born as the flesh of a man but HE was the Son of God by the Holy Spirit.
As flesh, Jesus was able to suffer all things we suffer as flesh.
Therefore it is explained to us in scripture that we can go to HIM in prayer, knowing HE understands us for HE suffered as we suffer yet HE was without sin.
Hebrews 2:7-9 Thou madest Him a little lower than the angels; Thou crownedst Him with glory and honour, and didst set Him over the works of Thy hands:
Thou hast put all things in subjection under His feet. For in that HE put all in subjection under Him, He left nothing that is not put under Him. But now we see not yet all things put under Him.
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
14-16 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
For verily He took not on Him the nature of angels; but He took on Him the seed of Abraham.
(Jesus came to earth in the form of a man, in the flesh as a man, who suffers that of the flesh of man.)
17-18 Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour (aid) them that are tempted.
