Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
In the Old Covenant, God gave the Holy Spirit to certain people but not to all people. Therefore they turned to the prophets to find out what God said and what God wanted them to do.
In the New Covenant, God gave HIS Spirit, the Holy Spirit, to each person born again, born of HIS Spirit.
Therefore we no longer go to a prophet to see what we should do. For each of us have in us the Spirit of God and the Spirit of God in us shows each of us the heart of God concerning us personally. I Cor. 2
We must understand this to operate in the New Covenant.
We must understand the following concepts shown us about the New Covenant.
Heb. 1 ... 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds;
God speaks to each of us by "HIS Son" ... by the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ whom HE has planted in each heart of those who belong to HIM.
Heb. 8 ...10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts:and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord:for all shall know ME, from the least to the greatest.
It is not that we learn the "laws" of God ... God puts HIS laws directly into our minds and hearts. We know what is right ... we know what is wrong ... The Spirit of God in us confirms such to us. Do not allow yourself to go against that which you have in your heart. If you have a question, stop, do nothing until you pray, asking God. Do not allow yourself to reason it away. Do not allow yourself to think you are wrong because another in the church says you should go in opposite way. Turn to God in prayer and do nothing until you hear from HIM.
In the last days, deception will be rampant. Learn to depend on God and the Spirit of God that is in you. Don't be led away by another human.
I Cor. 2 ...
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect:yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew:for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:for they are foolishness unto him:neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who (which of the natural men) hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him (the spiritual man)?
But we have the mind of Christ.
