I have never bought anything on eBay til recently. I found out today
that I won the bid but that they couldn’t process my order, problem with
payment. I didn’t know what was wrong, as my PayPal account was
connected to a particular checking account which would have had the
funds in it to cover this purchase. Right away I began praying for help
with this.
I couldn’t get hold
of a customer service person from either eBay or PayPal since their
offices were closed. But an AI agent on PayPal said that first time
users might have their funds on hold for up to 21 days. I thought that
would include me since I’d never used this account to pay for anything.
But I didn’t know how this would work with my eBay purchase. Would I
lose out because the seller was not willing to wait for payment? There
were other concerns too because the bank account connected with my eBay
selling is a different one than this one. Is there something wrong
regarding that?
Something that helped was seeing what Beth shared in an email today, Psalm 22, especially verse 24. For
HE hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;
neither hath HE hid HIS face from him; but when he cried unto HIM, HE
heard.
I thought about this. I’m crying to
God and He hears me.
I prayed again and asked God to give me something
to settle me.
Then I noticed a hymn was going through my mind. “The
Windows of Heaven are Open”. Especially a line which says - There’s
joy, joy, joy in my soul, Since Jesus made everything right.
I
began to go online to try to see if there was anything I could do. I
think I went to my eBay account, Payments. Something came up which gave
a place to “Confirm your order”. I’d thought my order was already
confirmed but I went ahead and tapped this and that was apparently what
the hold up had been. It now said that the item was paid for and when I
could expect it to arrive.
I was overjoyed that everything was now settled and so easily, that prayer was so quickly answered!
