πŸ’₯ Jesus says: Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.

Sometimes we deceive ourselves by thinking that which a person said was just a joke.

Jesus said that which comes from the mouth is in the heart of the person.

If we store up "evil treasure" it will go into our heart and at some point it will come out of our mouth and reveal that we have evil in our heart.

If we find we are speaking evil, we can turn to God and pray as David prayed.

Psalm 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Jesus says:

Matthew 10

16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

17 But beware of men:

Learn to listen to what man says for it reveals what is in his heart.

And Jesus says:

Matthew 10

26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

If we pay attention to that which the other person speaks, we will have that which is really in him revealed to us and we will know what is in his heart.

Recently I went to an eye doctor.  Two or three times, he spoke about "cocktail hour".  Once he spoke about eye surgeons and how they just sit at their desk and "rake in money".  And by his words, I could tell he was not satisfied concerning the amount of money he makes at his eye practice.

By his own words, I could see what he really likes is drinking alcoholic beverages.  And I could tell that "a love of money" is in his heart.

Pay attention to that which people say for their words show their heart.

Matthew 12 (Jesus says)

33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
