* Many put themselves into ministries without being called by Jesus for the work.

Comments by Joan Boney:

When Jesus calls us to a ministry work on this earth, HE appoints us from heaven as Jesus appointed and called the apostle Paul from heaven.  Jesus will do something to show that person he is to be a minister of Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 4:8;11-12

8 Wherefore HE saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

11-15 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into HIM in all things, which is the head, even Christ: (The Word)

Many put themselves into ministries without having the Spirit of God and without having the call of Jesus for the ministry.

They just enroll in seminaries or Bible colleges.

Jude

17-19  But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;  How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.  These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

Often when I share things of God with such, they have no spark of understanding.  Understanding is from God.  When I see this, I usually depart from that person knowing that God is not giving that individual understanding.  I can't work with such and I can never help that person.  He will just drain me if I continue to try.

1 Cor. 2:15   But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The apostle Paul spoke of these false ministers who were not of Jesus and actually were ministers of Satan.

2 Cor. 11:13-15  For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

They see the Bible with natural eyes and often set up many false doctrines from the scriptures.  And by doing such, they deny the Lord Jesus though they say "Jesus is Lord."

For if you deny scriptures, you deny Jesus who is "The Word".

Examples:

I once shared John 14:26 & John 16:13, concerning following God,  with a very big name Baptist preacher.

He said to me, "Why you would have to be a spiritual giant to do that!"

I was shocked for I always followed the Holy Spirit by that which HE showed me and I expect all who are the elect of God to do that.

Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

John 14:26   Jesus said:  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

Sometimes ministers will think they have a truth by looking at one scripture but another scripture reveals the truth.  And that minister sets up false doctrine because he didn't seek God nor compare scripture with scripture.

Robert Tilton told me he had decided there were only 4 ministry offices instead of 5.  He said pastor and teacher were same office.  If a man was a pastor, Tilton said they were also a teacher.

To clear up this doctrine, God reminded me of the apostle Paul who was a preacher, apostle, and teacher, but not a pastor.

I Tim. 2:7  Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

Bob also said he thought every person in the congregation was a minister.  He thought the translators of the Bible put a comma into a section of scripture where it should not have been.

Ephesians 4:11-12   And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

So Bob removed the first comma in verse 12 and began saying everyone in the congregation were one of these offices of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastor and teachers.

The truth is in I Corinthians 12 in the following verse.

I Cor. 12      Paul says:

27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

"Some" of the members of the body of Christ are set in the church as ministers, "not all".

We compare scripture with scripture and establish our doctrines.

I Cor. 2:13  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

*   A man wanted to build a new church building, and yet he wanted me to talk about the churches of the end times.  So he seemed to know this is the end times.  Also he was 77 years old and was consumed with the desire to build a new church building.

I pointed out to him that we are in the end times and God will destroy at the end everything by fire.  I gave a scripture in Luke to help him see.

Luke 17:28-29     Jesus said:  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

This pastor thanked me for praying this scripture over him.   He didn't seem to see this scripture was warning him.

When there is no understanding concerning what I say, I have learned to just walk away.

God gives understanding and to me when there is no spark of understanding it means God has not given that person understanding.  I can do nothing in such cases.
