* Moses heads back into Egypt

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Moses and his wife and two sons head out of Midian, leaving her father and the land where the two sons were born.  They are enroute to Egypt where the children of Israel live in bondage to the Egyptians.

Moses is being sent by God to deliver the children of Israel from Pharaoh and from the Egyptians.

***

Exodus 4:24-26   And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the Lord met him, and sought to kill him.

Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.

So HE let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.

The 2 sons of Moses had not been circumcised.  They could not come into the children of Israel until they were circumcised.

The New Testament church today is circumcised to God through being born again by the Holy Spirit of Jesus.  Unless you are born again, you cannot see the things of God.  Therefore we must be born again.

I Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

You can attend church.  You can go forward and be baptized at the church.  You can even be on the membership rolls at their church.

But you can never be the church until God adds you to the church, giving you HIS Spirit.  Then you become the church, you are the church.

Acts 2:47   And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Aaron comes out to meet Moses:

Exodus 4:27-31   And the Lord said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him.

And Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which HE
(God) had commanded him.

And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel:

And Aaron spake all the words which the Lord had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.

And the people believed: and when they heard that the Lord had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.

The problem comes to test their belief when troubles are increased.

At this point, the elders are on a "high".  Moses and Aaron have shown them God is going to deliver them.  But they will have another question arise when Pharaoh and the Egyptians increase their burdens even more as the result of Moses' words to them concerning what God has said.

In approximately 2018, a young man contacted me telling me he was a minister.  He had read my blog and was excited to hear the Word of God that I spoke.  He invited me to come to speak to his church group and the other ministers in the Philippines.

I told him, I cannot travel.

He then told his church group the Word I had spoken.

The church group was furious and demanded that he leave the church group after they heard that word.

They gave him one week to vacate the church property where he and his wife and son lived.  This man had no money and had lived on church property since he was approximately 18-years-old.

I told him the counsel that I believed to be from God:  Get a secular job and support your family.

(Like the apostle Paul, you can still do the work of God, preaching the word of God, while you work at a secular job.  Paul was a tent maker.)

Apparently he recanted the word to remain at that church and to live on that church property.

It is Mark 4:3    Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:   5-6   And some (seed) fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

14-17    The sower soweth the word.   And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.  And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

In 2019, I received an email from this young man.  An earthquake came to the Philippines and destroyed all their houses, where their church group was.   He wanted me to send money, which I did not do.  I believe his trust is in humans.  He turns to humans for his provision as he did when he rejected the word in order to remain at that church group and live in the now destroyed house which was owned by that church group.

In the Bible account in Exodus, we have seen the children of Israel rejoice at the word which told them of God's coming deliverance.

But now we are going to also see these same individuals murmur against Moses and Arron when Pharaoh increases their labors.

Exodus 5:1-23   And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto ME in the wilderness.

And Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go.

And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the Lord our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens. And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.

And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying, Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.  And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God. Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.

And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.  Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.

So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.

And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.

And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?

Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?  There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people.

But he
(Pharaoh) said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the Lord.  Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.

And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.

And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:

And they said unto them, The Lord look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

Do their words cause Moses to doubt what God said and what God is doing?  (People can cause us to doubt by their doubtful words.)

And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Lord, wherefore hast THOU so evil entreated this people? why is it that THOU hast sent me?  For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in THY name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast THOU  delivered THY people at all.

God speaks to Moses:

Exodus 6:1-9    Then the Lord said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the Lord: And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them. And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers. And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.

Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments: And I will take you to ME for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.  And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the Lord.

And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

When persecution comes for the Word's sake, what then will we do?

It is after the Word comes to us that we are divided from those who do not believe.  Do we turn from that which we believed because of their unbelief?  We might think that can never happen.  But I've seen people become offended at the Word which I have delivered to them, and they have left and turned another way.  I've seen this many, many times.  I've seen church people do this more than I've seen church people cling to the Word during the trials that come because of the Word.

Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus says:    Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

We must view the Word from God as being the only thing that matters.

Matthew 13:44-46  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Hebrews 11:24-27    By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Most people today in church groups can see only that which is visible to their natural eyes.

To endure we must see HIM who is invisible.

Exodus 6:10-13   And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,  Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.

And Moses spake before the Lord, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?

And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

***

Exodus 6:28-30    And it came to pass on the day when the Lord spake unto Moses in the land of Egypt, That the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, I am the Lord: speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto thee.

And Moses said before the Lord, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?

We often think:  "How can this be done?"

But when it is authored by God, HE has HIS ways.

Isaiah 55:8-11    For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways, saith the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways, and MY thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

So shall MY word be that goeth forth out of MY mouth: it shall not return unto ME void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
