Paul confronted Peter with his sin ... before them all.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Peter sinned.

When Paul found out what Peter was doing, Paul confronted Peter before all the church.

Galatians 2:11-16  But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.

For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.

Dissimulation:
- conceal one's true motives, feelings, beliefs
- disguise how you really feel, disguise what you really believe, and pretend to believe something else
- pretense
- deceit
- dishonesty
- guile
- hypocrisy
- to hide under a false pretense
- hide one's true feelings
- causing another to be fooled or tricked by your deceit

But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin?

God forbid.

I Timothy 5:19-20    Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.

Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

Peter was an elder in the church.

I Peter 5:1  Peter says:  The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

(This tells us Peter was married to one wife and had children.)

Bible requirements for an elder in the NT church:

Titus 1:4-9    To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.

For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:

If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.

For a bishop (elder & bishop are the same thing) must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;

Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

Such is the requirement of an elder (also called bishop) in the NT church.

Paul would not have been able to be an "elder" in the church for Paul was not married and had no children.

Elder (Bishop) in the NT church must have multiple children, not just one child.

Many churches today violate these rules and allow unmarried men to be elders. Some churches even allow women to be elders in their church group, falling away from scripture and setting up the church group in ways that seem "reasonable" to people of the world.

This is antichrist in the church group, the apostasy, the falling away from scripture.

Here is a story from Church of Christ.

They strongly taught these rules from the Bible concerning what an man must be to be an elder.

A Church of Christ member told me this story.

Her husband ran off with another woman.  His dad was an elder in Church of Christ and when this happened he said to the other elders, "I have to resign from elder for my son is unruly."

The other elders, at that point, fell away from the rules in the Bible and insisted this man continue to be an elder.  (the apostasy in the church)

The Bible says:

I Timothy 3:4-5    (An elder/bishop must be)  One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

*****

If an elder/bishop sins, we need to have multiple witnesses to that sin.

If we have those multiple witnesses, this man is to be rebuked before the entire church, that others also may fear.

If the elder's children show themselves to be unruly, regardless of the age of the children, this elder who has the unruly child cannot continue as an elder in the church.

The church may reason that the elder no longer has control of his adult aged, married son.  But for the son to turn this way and sin, shows a flaw which is often unseen in the way the father (elder) ruled his own children.

The church must continue to follow the requirement for elder as stated in Bible, confirmed by God, when asking God for wisdom in the matter.

James 1:5    If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

The elder must resign when his own children are unruly.

I once attended a church where one of their elders was a divorced man with one child and was committing fornication while teaching a Bible class at that church.

He was said to be valuable to that church, for his expertise in the secular world was putting financial partners together for big projects which required much accumulation of money.

That whole church is gone now ...

The pastor, Robert Tilton, was caught on an ABC expose on "Primetime Live" ... Tilton subsequently divorced and remarried then divorced the second wife and remarried a third woman ...  At one point, the church building was leveled to the ground and now, at that location, stands a young people's ice hockey arena where the church building once stood.  There is no evidence at all that a church building once stood on that ground.  The congregation (approximately 8000 people in 1984) apparently went to other churches.  Some in the church group filed lawsuit against Robert Tilton claiming he promised the 100-fold return on their offering and this did not happen.

Examples of the apostasy in the NT church ... the falling away from scripture and the distortion of scripture:

The 100-fold return in Bible has nothing at all to do with offerings to the church as some ministers would have you think.

Matthew 19:27-29    Then answered Peter and said unto Him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed Thee; what shall we have therefore?

And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed ME, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for MY name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

At one point, I witnessed Robert Tilton killing a prophet by the following.

Bob had his own TV talk show.  He invited a woman, Ava Pickard, from our church group to be on his talk show.  Ava was young, small in size, attractive physically, photogenic ... but she identified herself as a prophet.

Just before they went on stage, Bob said to Ava, "Just one thing.  Don't mention anything about being a prophet.  It's not popular."

Ava called me immediately after filming of the TV show.

She was in tears, devestated.

I was horrified at what Bob did.  I recognized he "killed" a prophet.  I started crying out to God, and I heard the following scripture concerning killing prophets.

Matthew 23:33-38  Jesus said to the religious leaders:  Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

I knew Bob Tilton's house was going to be left desolate because of what he did.

I delivered this message to Bob on cassette tape.  He, Marty (His Wife), Ava and perhaps others, gathered in his church office to hear the tape.

The report I received is he did hear it ... then he took scissors and cut the tape into little pieces and threw it into the trash can and "danced" around the waste basket.  It is my understanding they were also claiming various scriptures to protect him.

That happened in approximately 1981 or 1982.

I moved from Dallas in 1984.

In about 4-5 years after I had moved, the following had happened to Bob Tilton.

* He and wife divorced.
* He married another woman and she divorced Bob and sued him.
* Some of his own church members sued him.
* ABC news, Prime Time Live, did an expose concerning Bob, showing his mishandling of prayer requests which were sent as he solicited prayer requests on his TV show ... People often put money in the envelop when asking preacher for prayer.  On TV, they showed these requests being forwarded to a bank in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where bank staff removed the money from the envelopes and threw the requests in garbage can in alley.
* His first wife sued for part ownership of the church building ... By this time they had built and very expensive, 8000 seat church building with all the latest in video/sound design in an expensive building on the Dallas to Denton highway.
* Finally the church building was completely destroyed, torn down, to make room for a youth ice hockey arena.

(As prophesied, Bob's house was destroyed for killing a prophet.)

Bob moved to Florida where he married 3rd wife.

*****

Bob Tilton was a very attractive man who had a lot of personality.

Bob turned away from scripture and went another way and he committed various sins and bit-by-bit he was destroyed, though last I heard he was still on TV begging the church people for money and was receiving about 2-million-dollars per year after his public disgrace.

Before that, Bob had been receiving around 80-million-dollars per year according to Wikipedia.

Psalm 37:1-10

Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and HE shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in HIM; and HE shall bring it to pass.

And HE shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for HIM: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
