Remembering to Pray

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

It is important for us to remember to pray over all things.  I know it seems we should do this without real effort but I find I often forget.

I received letter that my current doctor is moving and no longer going to receive patients in Lubbock.  In letter, they told name of 2 doctors in their building who will accept her patients.

I plan to call Monday to make change.  I finally awoke to ask God which of the two doctors.  I don't need a doctor right now except to refill my Ambien (sleeping pill) prescription.  I take sleeping pill nightly because of the pain in leg from the accident and operation a few years ago.  I'd rather take the sleeping pill than to take pain medicine, for pain medicine can cause problems and sleeping pill doesn't cause me after effect.  I keep a doctor for this purpose.

After I remembered to pray over new doctor, I prayed that this new doctor be someone who could work with me at my age, not trying to do more than reasonable for a person who is nearly 80-years-old.

But remembering to pray over all things is something I want to do.

Proverbs 3:5-7    Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge HIM, and HE shall direct thy paths.  Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Prayer is such an anchor for faith also.  And prayer is one of the pieces of the whole armor of God as listed in Ephesians 6.

Prayer humbles us too.  To pray means we know we need God to help us and to show us what to do.  We are like little children on this earth.  We never get so wise that we can do everything ourselves without God.  Therefore we humble ourselves by prayer.
