Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
The apostle John told us we will know we are of God if we keep HIS commandments.
I John 2
3-6 And hereby we do know that we know HIM, if we keep HIS commandments.
He that saith, I know HIM, and keepeth not HIS commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
But whoso keepeth HIS word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in HIM.
He that saith he abideth in HIM ought himself also so to walk, even as HE walked.
Keeping the commandments of God is walking in the Spirit of God. We cannot walk in the flesh, yielding to our own flesh and desires of our flesh and walk in the Spirit for they are contrary one to the other.
Galatians 5
16-25 Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness (defrauding another person), lasciviousness (lusts), Idolatry, witchcraft (superstitions), hatred, variance (to vary, to argue), emulations (to try to equal or surpass another person), wrath (ill will toward another), strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:
of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Jesus' purpose on this earth was to serve God, saying and doing that which God showed HIM.
Our purpose should be the same.
We have the Holy Spirit in us to show us the way God wants us to go and what God wants us to speak in the various situations.
