Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
I often receive emails from other “ministers” through out the world. When this happens, I pray, asking God to show me what to say to them.
Here is an example of a response given to a minister who said he had a “vision” to go to areas where the people are completely isolated.
The question is: He said he has a vision. But is that vision from God? Or is it just what he wants?
In his email, he gave no evidence at all that the vision is authored by God.
Consider what Jesus said concerning “good works” done in HIS name.
Mt. 7: 21-23 … 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Here is the email I sent to this young man:
(Before I wrote this, I prayed, asking God to show me what to write. As I wrote what came into my mind by God’s Spirit, I could tell it was the Holy Spirit in me bringing these things forth to this young man.)
(One thing he asked for was "financial support" so he could do his vision.)
I said to him:
Your support is going to have to come from God if you're doing a work of God
You keep talking about "your vision" but the question is, is your vision really what God wants you to do ...is it God's vision ?
Every time God has had me do something HE has strongly authored it in a way that I have no doubt that is what HE wants done... it's not “my” vision ...it's what GOD has told me to do.
For example, when GOD told me to go on radio... I was sleeping ...a very loud trumpet like voice awoke me in the night with the call letters of the exact radio station KWJS ...within a week I was broadcasting on that station... before I started broadcasting God told me to tell the people I know what happened... I did not ask for money ... I just told the people, a trumpet like voice spoke three words into my ear and awoke me from sleep … The 3 words: “Hartford, Seattle, KWJS” … one of the words spoken in my ear was radio station call letters and I told them after turning to God I believed God might be wanting me to go on radio … That's all I told them ...because that's what God told me to do is to tell them what happened…
I did not ask them for money … But they begin sending me money for the radio broadcast without any pressure on them... without making them feel guilty... without even asking.
And that is the way it has been every time God has had me do anything... that is the way it has happened...
I cannot think of any time in the Bible a minister asked the people for money.
There are times in the Bible when the people willingly gave money, but there's no example of a minister asking people for money.
You should consider this ...the way you are going is a wrong way.
In your letter telling of your fleshly college degrees, your worldly college degrees, I see no reason you would do that ...they have nothing to do with qualifying you for the work of God
I myself have three college degrees, one of them being a doctorate ...it has nothing to do with God or qualifications to do the work of God
Our qualifications are the work itself... they show what we are ...they show when we are really from God
Our intentions don't show if we're from God... we might want to set up an orphanage and it not be from God... we might do many good works and that not be from God.
I suggest you read Matthew 7:21-23
Jesus says … Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Many people take on all types of what they think to be good works without being sent there by God ...when you tell of a project you need to tell how God authored it. And if you have to ask people to support you, you are turning to people rather than turning to God... and the work probably is not of God
If you have any access to Internet , I have published 10 ministry books with Amazon most of these books deal with the subject of following God
The books are currently available through Amazon (kindle version).
By mid-March many of these books should be available in paperback on Amazon.
You could purchase one of the books and perhaps God would open your eyes to the ways of following HIM.
Right now you are showing that you do not understand following God by HIS Spirit.
I see many of your ways being the way humans work out things ...freshly good works...like worldly help organizations plan things.
What you need is to understand the Spirit of God ...calling on God ...hearing from God ...and pursuing only those projects authored by God
I am always receiving invitations to go to Pakistan and places like that and speak to large groups of people and speak to minister conferences.
But my assignment, from God, is to stay home and write the blog and write these books.
To think of traveling, for me, would be pure foolishness.
If I traveled I could not do my assignment that God has given me.
And I wouldn't be able to travel anyway and if I tried it it would kill me.
Other people frequently think up things for us to do , but do they ever consider is this really will of God or is this just something I want… and even in ministry circles this is rampant.
But I know my assignment from God and therefore I avoid all other plans that ministers would make for me
But I continue to warn you if you have to ask people for money to support your work then it is probably "your work" and not authored by God.

From Joan Boney:
(The following is an email I shared with a woman in our little church group. I believe this is the Spirit of God speaking through me to help this woman.)
The thing that's missing throughout your entire story is you didn't try the spirit and you did not pray for God to give you HIS wisdom … This is a very serious matter
When that something rose up in you to say you wouldn't need to have that water, I immediately thought of the Holy Spirit. But we don't know that because you didn't try the spirit… and you did not ask God for wisdom either …
Then the second time, when you heard to a fill tub with water for pending ice storm, there's no report of your trying the spirit nor is there any report of asking God for wisdom ...
Then when your husband told you to fill the tub, again there is no report all of your turning to God and asking for wisdom ... You just moved by the flesh... because of the two previous examples.
I tried the spirit the other day concerning calling that Baptist woman that I went to high school with and I heard "no" but I ignored it and called anyway... we are so unstable.
I Peter 1 … 13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
I spoke with this woman later and asked her if she had any idea why things such as this were happening … She paused … Then she said, I think I allow grievances against my husband to pile up instead of dealing with each problem in a spiritual way.
None of us can afford to do this. We must take each problem to God in prayer at the time it happens. To allow such problems to pile up is like not doing your laundry and allowing all your dirty clothes to pile up. You wouldn’t do that. How much more important should your own soul be to you?
When someone says something that troubles us we must stop immediately and talk with God and allow God to settle the matter. Anytime there is a problem of any kind we must talk to God and work through the problem with God.
We overcome through God not by our own reasoning.
