There is so much blatant evil displayed today on TV.  When it appears, I usually turn that program off.  Sometimes the news presents unnecessary evil.  Often evil appears in TV programs.  And politicians are really incredibly evil in some of their talking and presentations.

I can tell they do not understand sins in the sight of God.

I Corinthians 6

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexual), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Galatians 5:19-21

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

But you must not return to these sins after you have been forgiven.

Hebrews 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

2 Peter 2:20-21  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

Hebrews 6:4-6  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put HIM to an open shame.

7-8 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Jesus says your name can be blotted out of the book of life.

Revelation 3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.

John 8, is the story of the woman taken in adultery who is brought before Jesus.

Jesus forgave this woman.  But Jesus then said to her:  "Go ... and sin no more."  (Jn. 8:11)

I can't imagine wanting to sin after you have been forgiven.

Aren't we ashamed of those sins we committed before we were born again?  How could we want to return to that which "damns" us?  Don't we understand how unprofitable such things were to us before?

The story of Joseph:

Joseph's brothers sold Joseph into slavery when Joseph was 17-years-old.

Genesis 39

1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.

2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.

8 But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;

9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.

12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.

13 And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth,

14 That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice:

15 And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out.

16 And she laid up his garment by her, until his lord came home.

17 And she spake unto him according to these words, saying, The Hebrew servant, which thou hast brought unto us, came in unto me to mock me:

19 And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled.

20 And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.

21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.

23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.

Christ is The Word of God.

John 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by HIM; and without HIM was not any thing made that was made.

4 In HIM was life; and the life was the light of men.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

2 Timothy 3

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

The Bible is the Word of God.

Also God sends HIS Word to our mind by HIS Holy Spirit to show us what to do in the issues of this present life.

Jesus says:

John 14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of HIMSELF; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

The Holy Spirit searches the heart of God to reveal the will of God to us.

I Corinthians 2

11 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

The Word from God sometimes enables us to do things that we could not do otherwise.

Example:  In 2018, I fell at my house in TEXAS where I lived alone.  The phone was approximately 6 ft. from the place I fell.  I knew I was badly injured.  I was lying on the tile floor.  I managed to turn to my right hip.  I felt the left hip was broken. The pain was so severe that I found I could not crawl to the phone.  

No one was due to come to my house for a week.  If I couldn't get to a phone to call for help, I knew I might die.

But when I tried to inch my way to the phone I would almost lose consciousness.

As I was lying there motionless, I heard in my mind the following word which I knew was from God by the Holy Spirit.  "You can do this."

Because of that Word, which I knew was from God, I began inching my way to the phone.

It took me 4 1/2 hours to reach the phone but I did get there and called for help!

As the ambulance workers rolled me past the front door of that house, God spoke to me again by HIS Spirit.  HE said:  "You'll never see this house again."

I had no fear or concern.  I knew God had another place for me and it would most likely be even better than the place I had been because I know God often makes things better for us along the way.

From the hospital, I put the house in Texas up for sale.

God arranged for me to move to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where I live with another member of the body of Christ who helps me.  It's great!  She has faith in God and the same Spirit of God that I have.

She does all the technical work for the books, which I publish on Amazon, and for the blog, and for Podcasts.  It is much easier for us to publish the exhortations since we live in the same house.

And I love living in Colorado Springs more than any place I've ever lived!

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

That power living in us is the Holy Spirit of God.

As we have the plans of God come to our mind by the Holy Spirit and we recognize that idea is from God and we do according to God's instruction, God does exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.

Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

πŸ’₯ There is power in the Word of God for us who believe that Word and do that Word.

 
The Word that comes down from God has great power to effect change in us who believe and do that Word.  There is nothing like the Word of God.

The Holy Bible is inspired by God and is therefore the Word of God.

All scripture has power.

The words spoken by man often plant seeds of fear in our heart, for example TV newscasts.  We have to extinguish these fears with the Word given us by God.

For examples:

There are often stories of inflation that is coming in the days ahead.

The Bible says:  Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

(So we reason:  If a "need" comes, God will supply that need so then we will not have a need.)

The Word of God has great power to bring peace to our hearts, if we do that Word.

Philippians 4:6-7  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

(But be sure to do that word!  Take all cares to God in prayer.  When the care arises, make a habit of praying immediately.  Just stop that which you are doing and pray, connecting with God in the perceived problem.)

James 2

20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

So Paul says:  "Be careful for nothing;"

But some church people try to be strong in themselves rather that strong in that Word by doing that Word:  "but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."

So when a problem strikes, they say things like, "God will never let anything happen to me."  and they try to ignore the concern they have, thinking they trust in God by ignoring the problem.

They did not do the instruction of the scripture.  They did not turn to God with the problem, laying the problem on God, pouring their heart out before God.

My cousin was 97 years old when this happened.  She said to me, "I do well in the day but I get so lonely at night."  (Her husband died 10 years earlier.)

When I heard the problem I rejoiced for I knew God would help her and then there would no longer be a problem.  So I said, "All you need to do is pray, telling God how you feel and asking God to help you to fill the night."  And I gave her the scriptures, Philippians 4:6-7

(She attended Church of Christ all her life.)

About two weeks later, she contacted me again.  She said, "I do fine during the day but I get so lonely at night."

(She had not done what I told her in our previous talk.  She had a habit of reliving the same problem rather than settling the problem with God.)

I believe many attend churches but fail to have a faith in the Word of God and thereby they fail to do the scriptures.

James 1

16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

18 Of HIS own will begat HE us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of HIS creatures.

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

The Bible teacher at the church which I attended in the 1980's, said this to me:

"We talk about faith.  But you actually do faith."

From the time I was born again in 1975, I was looking at the Bible and seeking scripture that I could "do", applying that verse to my life, living in scripture.

And God showed me this:

Joshua 1:8-9  This book of the law (The Bible) shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Podcast: The wrath of God, the judgment of God, comes on this earth because of the sins of this world and the apostate churches

 
 
 
 
When Jesus returns in a cloud in the sky, HE will come with a voice that wakes the dead in Christ.  And Jesus will send HIS angels to this earth to gather HIS elect and take them off this earth in their new spiritual bodies.  They will be taken to the new heaven and the new earth, new Jerusalem which is prepared for them by God.

Revelation 21 (The New heaven and earth)

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

I Corinthians 15   (New spiritual bodies)

46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

(Blink:  That is how fast we will be changed from our present physical bodies into our new spiritual bodies.)

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

I Thessalonians 4  (The dead in Christ are awakened by Jesus)

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (go before) them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord HIMSELF shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Matthew 24:31  (Jesus sends HIS angels to gather the elect of God)  And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Then comes The Great Tribulation which God brings upon this earth.   7 trumpets of God will sound by the 7 angels of God loosing the 7 plagues upon this earth.  7 more angels will pour out the vials of wrath upon this earth.  Then God will destroy this present heaven and earth with fire.

2 Peter 3:10-14  (God destroys this present heaven and earth with fire)

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Why does judgment come on this earth?

Unrepentant man is destroyed by God because of sin:

Judgment is coming!

Repent and ask God to save you and stop sinning.

John 18:36  (Jesus said)  MY kingdom is not of this world: if MY kingdom were of this world, then would MY servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is MY kingdom not from hence.

Hebrews 11

23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.

(The king had commanded that every male child be killed at birth because there were too many Jewish people in Egypt.  Moses would have been killed but his parents hid Moses in the river and Pharaoh's daughter found the Hebrew baby floating in the daubed ark and she took him to raise him as her own child.)

24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;

25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing HIM who is invisible.

Like Moses, we too see HIM who is invisible.

Those things we can see with our natural eye will be burned up, destroyed by God, at the end of this world.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Matthew 24:35  (Jesus says)  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY words shall not pass away.

We see that which is eternal.  The people of this world see that which is temporary.

2 Corinthians 4:18  While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

We try to do that which is right in the sight of God to other people.

We are not abusers of ourselves with mankind as are those people of this world.

I Corinthians 6

8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

We have inside of us the way of God as we deal with others, not wanting to take advantage of others.

For our kingdom is not of this world, as is theirs.

That which matters to us is doing that which is right in the sight of God, even when it causes us to suffer worldly loss.

I have a bed frame which raises and lowers the bed.  One of our kittens chewed through the wiring.  We set about to have the frame fixed.  But when the man from the mattress company came to replace the motor, he found the damage was far more extensive than anticipated so we would be better off to buy a new frame.  When I found we needed to do this, all I could think of is being sure we paid the that man who couldn't do the repair work.  When I asked Pam, she said she had already paid him for his trip to our house.  Pam and I have the same Spirit, the Spirit of God, not wanting to do harm to others nor cause them to suffer loss.  (I Cor. 6:9  Abusers of themselves with mankind)

Another example:  In approximately 2018, I bought a new leather sofa.  My cat jumped on the sofa and inspected the addition.  When my cleaning lady came to work, she said my cat had damaged the new sofa with one of her claws.  I looked at one of the seats and saw the claw mark.  Most people would not notice the small scratch.  I could have called and told the furniture store I had decided not to buy the sofa.  But if I did that someone else would suffer loss.  If the furniture store sold the sofa then the custormer would have a slightly damaged sofa.  Or the furniture store would suffer loss if they discovered the blemish and had to discount the price to sell the item.  This is what Paul means when he speaks of being an abuser of themselves with mankind.  Is is worth losing your soul?

I Corinthians 10:12-13  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

In 2019, when I moved to Colorado, I gave that leather sofa to my contractors son.  Tom said the son was so happy to get the sofa.

Do not defraud another person.  Suffer the loss.  God will repay you.

This is a part of developing integrity.

Also it shows that person and whether or not this kingdom is that person's world.

We must do right by other people.

I Corinthians 6

6 Now these things (in the Bible) were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

Our kingdom is not of this world.  We see HIM who is invisible! The life we see is forever with God and with Jesus.

πŸ’₯ God reminded me of a scripture and changed my direction.


On the afternoon of March 2, 2023, I was planning on watching the live courtroom trial of  Alex Murdaugh, a lawyer from South Carolina, who was accused of murdering his wife and son.

But as I started to turn on the TV, I heard a scripture.

Proverbs 4:14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil. 15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.

So I did not turn on the TV and instead I read Bible and wrote an exhortation for the church for our blog.

That night on TV, I did hear the verdict.

When we follow what God shows us, we are shielded from some of the evils of this life.

I did pray for the jurors to make the right decision.

Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

John 14:26  (Jesus says) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

No church can save you.  The church are the people who have been saved, born again by the Spirit of God.

We are saved by The Word of God.  When God speaks to us giving us the Word, we are then born again by that Word, saved.

Acts 2:47  And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Acts 13:48  and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

I went forward at my aunt's church (Church of Christ) when I was 15 and was baptized in water.  But I was not born again by the Spirit of God.  I didn't want to go to hell so I did what that church group said to do.  Nothing at all changed inside me.  I continued pursuing my own ambitions.  I rarely thought of God at all.

On August 5, 1975, I was reading a book about sin, when God spoke to me and said:  "Joan ... you know all those mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those where sins."

SINS ... I was so shocked!

And with that Word of God, I was born again.

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

I was changed immediately, given the Holy Spirit of God to live inside me and to teach me and guide me.

The New Covenant Church:

Ezekiel 36  (God says)

23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Pam Padgett was raised in the Catholic church.  One of her classmates was killed on a motorcycle.  This is the first time Pam knew a person her age could die.

The following concept came into her heart:  My only hope is God.  Nothing I can do and nothing I learned in the Catholic church can save me.

She knew she would go to hell if she died at that time.  She was terrified and cried out to God.

"If there is any way You can save me, please save me.  YOU are my only hope!"

After praying that, she knew there was something of God in her.  It was years before she saw a scripture showing her what it was of God that was in her.

1 Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

πŸ’₯ We are GOD's workmanship created in Christ Jesus, The Word, unto good works.

 
Philippians 1

Paul says:

6 Being confident of this very thing, that HE which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

(God who began a good work in us and revealed Jesus Christ, The Word, to us will perform in us that work to the end when Jesus returns to gather the church.)

9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ (The Word of God), unto the glory and praise of God.

Ephesians 2

1 And you hath HE quickened (made alive), who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation (manner of life) in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for HIS great love wherewith HE loved us,

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

(We were dead with the world, living as the world, but God chose us not because we were good or worthy but just because it was HIS will that we be saved, raised from the dead of this world and put into the body of Christ as HIS own children.)

6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

7 That in the ages to come HE might shew the exceeding riches of HIS grace in HIS kindness toward us through Christ Jesus (The Word).

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are HIS workmanship, created in Christ Jesus (The Word) unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

God creates each of us to do HIS will and HIS work.  

God gave Pam Padgett the spiritual gift of "helps" so she could do the technical computer work so we could publish ministry blog, books (Amazon), and Podcasts, to send spiritual exhortations to the body of Christ daily around the entire world.

I Corinthians 12  (Spiritual gifts)

27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

28 And God hath set some in the church (to work in the church), first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

God set me in the body of Christ and ordained me as apostle and prophet according to Ephesians 4:11-12.

Ephesians 4:8; 11-12  Wherefore  HE (Jesus) saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.  And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

(The New Testament Church and all the ministry offices are gifts given to the church after Jesus arose, after the crucifixion and resurrection.  And from heaven Jesus calls each member of the body of Christ to be children of God.  And Jesus teaches each of us by HIS Holy Spirit who lives in each of us.  He brings to our mind the Word of God and teaches us all things and even guides us into all truth.)

To some God gave families and prepared husbands and wives to do HIS will on this earth as they are lights to their own children and neighbors in the word of God.  You are HIS workmanship.  Placed to do HIS will on this earth.

Do not try to copy another but depend at all times for God to prepare you for that which you have been assigned by God, following the Holy Spirit of God, doing that which God has placed in your mind and in your heart.

Jesus says:

John 15:16  Ye have not chosen ME, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in MY name, HE may give it you.

I was following my own ambitions and desires when God spoke to me on August 5, 1975, and said.  "Joan ... you know all these mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."

I was greatly shocked as the apostle Paul was shocked when Jesus spoke to HIM on the road to Damascus. 

Acts 9  (Jesus speaks to Paul)

3 And as he (Saul, later named Paul) journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME?

5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt THOU have me to do? 

And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

God speaks directly to our minds also and causes us to be born again by HIS Word.

With this word God spoke to me in 1975, HE caused me to be born again, made into a new creature, instantly changed from that person I had been.

Our bodies look the same to humans that we have been friends with in the world, but inside, after God speaks to us, we are no longer as we once were.  We now have a new heart and a new spirit given to us by God.

Ezekiel 36:23-27  God says:

(After I was born again, I no longer wanted to be with the worldly people that I had been with.  Now I wanted to be with children of God.  I wanted to read the Bible.  I wanted to hear about God.)

A few nights after I was born again in 1975, I was transported into heaven as I slept in the night.

I was with God and with Christ, and with the Holy Spirit.  

(I saw no physical images.  It was a spiritual experience.)

At that time, I was "merged into the body of Jesus", made one with the Word of God, God and the Holy Spirit witnessing.

A few nights after that, the exact same thing happened to me a second time.

I believe at that time of being made one with the Word of God, I was ordained into the 2 ministry offices to which I was placed by God in the body of Christ, apostle and prophet.  And it was God who taught me the work of the ministry in these two offices.  The Holy Spirit led me through the Bible, taking me from scripture to scripture, teaching me, for the next 5 years.

When it was time for me to do ministry work as apostle and prophet, I was asleep in the night on January 10, 1980, when a trumpet-like voice spoke 3 words into my ear.  "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS"

(I believe that voice that spoke to me was an angel of God carrying to me a message from God.)

I jumped out of bed, and wrote the letters "KWJS" on a note pad, not wanting to get these letters mixed up because I felt immediately they were call letters to either radio or television.

When I found these letters to be a radio station I spoke to God and said:  "Are YOU telling me to go on radio?  I wouldn't know how to do that."

The Holy Spirit brought to my mind:  "Call the radio station manager."  

(Which I did that same morning.)

I told the station manager God might be showing me to go on radio.  And I asked, "How would you do that?"

The station manager said:  "Make an audition tape 29 1/2 minutes long and send it to me and if you fit our broadcasting we will offer you a contract."

I recorded a tape that same morning and mailed it to the station manager and within 5 days I was on KWJS exhorting the church.

We are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus, "The Word" that comes down to us from heaven.

Our assignments differ, but God is the author.  And HE puts us into the body of Christ and does as HE wills with us.  We simply do what we believe God has told us to do.

Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

(Everything we can see with our natural eyes will be destroyed.)

3 And as HE sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto HIM privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of THY coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Peter warns us about end time ministers who see us as "merchandise" to benefit themselves, sources of money.

2 Peter 2

1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:


14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

πŸ’₯ Our life is hidden in Christ so we may not look like much to this world.

 
We live in Christ, in the Word of God.  

We have a life but it is not in this world:  in fame, or in money, or in our worldly possessions, or in our physical appearance.  

So for most of us, we don't appear to other people to have a life.

But our life is hidden in Christ, in the Word.

When Christ appears, our life will appear with HIM !

Colossians 3

1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

* In reading the Bible. In seeking daily the will of God as we live on this earth. In prayer and giving of thanks to God.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

4 When Christ, WHO is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with HIM in glory.

A woman sent me a birthday card.  She enclosed a note telling me all the things she and her husband and daughter and granddaughter had done over the holidays and also telling me all they had planned for Christmas.

(People are so often very busy!)

I had nothing planned for Christmas.  And I had no husband, no children, no grandchildren.

The Holy Spirit said to me:  You are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  When Christ, WHO is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with HIM in glory.  (Col. 3:4-5)

I said:  "That's right!"  (and I began rejoicing in my salvation and in all the unseen things God has given me.)

I have a life.  They just can't see it!

(I might have been a little depressed at the note in the Birthday card except for that which the Holy Spirit spoke to me.  Jesus calls the Holy Spirit, "The Comforter." )

When we see ourselves as God sees us, we rejoice in HIM.

Since we, as born again Christians, are dead and our life is now hid in Christ let us "mortify" the works of the flesh.

Colossians 3

5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

(When we feel ourselves beginning to get angry or about to tell some clever worldly story which we should not tell, we can turn to God in prayer and say: "Please help me, God.  Don't let me say that!  Don't let me do that!"  

And we can pray over ourselves   Psalm 51:10   Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.)

9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of HIM that created him:

(Renewed in knowledge as we read the Bible and as God shows us something by HIS Spirit)

Colossians 3

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

(Forgiving is not wanting the person to go through penalty for what that person did to you.)

14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

(Charity is the ability to emphasise with the other person in the situation that person is going through, as if you, yourself were in the suffering or trial.)

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

(There are several things listed "to do" in these scriptures.  As you think on each thing to be able to do that instruction, you grow in strength to be able to actually perform the Word, doing the specific instruction... living in Christ, the Word.)

Joshua 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

A great many church people want to be strong in themselves and in that which they have learned.

They think they are trusting in God but actually they are trusting in their own flesh and their own learning.

And through fleshly pride, they think they are supposed to take care of the problem themselves, rather than simply calling on God and submitting the problem to God and letting God work in the situation as HE wills.

My 97 year old cousin told me this:  "I do well during the day, but I get so lonely in the evenings."

I told her, each evening when you start to feel pulled down, just turn to God and ask God to help you, filling your evening, and God will help you.

Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

About 2 weeks later, she wrote to me saying:  "I do well during the day but I get so lonely in the evenings."

She didn't do the word of God.

Many in churches hear the Word of God and read the Word of God but fail to do the Word of God.

In 2018, I fell in my house in Texas and had to have surgery on my left hip which was broken in the fall.

I was in a rehabilitation hospital for 2 1/2 months in Texas.  I was mostly alone.  When I awoke in the mornings I would often have this thought:  "How can I get through all this time today?"

And then I would remember to pray:  "God ... please fill the time today and help me."

God always helped me.  And I often was surprised that it was already dinner time!  Where did all the time go?  It flew by!

Be strong in the Lord ...

When I come in contact with worldly thinking, I often pray:

Psalm 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

It is not that I am asking God to help me.  "I'm asking God to cleanse me!"

Some trust in themselves.  But I turn to God trusting in HIM to cleanse my heart and spirit.

God restores my soul!  (Psalm 23:3)

I trust in the power of God's might.

Some think themselves to be wise and to be able to figure out what to do.

I just ask God to give me wisdom.  Trusting in God and not in myself.

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  

James 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Psalm 111:10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do HIS commandments: HIS praise endureth for ever.
