The Prophet In Today's Church

Preface

When we set up our blog, Jesus Ministries Exhortations, we hoped others in the body of Christ would share testimonies of God working in the lives.

Sadly, this did not happen.

Men who say they are ministers began writing, wanting us to give money or Bibles to them for their many works.

It is incredible that they would presume to tell people they would give all people a Bible when they do not have the resources to do this but I have found multiple ministers who do this.

So many of these so-called "ministers" set up all sorts of works which they cannot pay for.

And they come to me telling of their works but they never tell any message that is from God for they have no message from God, just their own works.  (sign of antichrist exalting his works)

*****

In April, 2018, I believe God showed me to publish these letters for a season on our blog to show the church the great danger we have today from men coming saying, "Jesus is Lord."

Jesus said this is a sign of the end of this world and HIS return for the real church.

Matthew 24:3-5    And as HE sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto HIM privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

For many shall come in MY name, saying, I
(Jesus) am Christ; and shall deceive many.

*****

One of the things I hate most is the flowery, hypocritical words they use at the beginning of their letters as they start their deceptions.

And often they come saying they are praying for me, and I don't believe that is true either.
When you see their letters, I think the impact of their falseness will be greater.

Their letters are like we read about in the following scripture:

I Peter 2

1-3   But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you:

13-15    Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray,

18   For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

*****

Jude

18  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

(These men bring us their many works but never bring a message from God for they have no message from God.)

12-13    These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

16   walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words,

17-19   But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

How that they told you there should be mockers
(imitators, copiers of other ministers) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

*****

I had been receiving approximately one letter per day from these evil men who said they were ministers.

I found it a great burden and began asking God for help.

After this, I was led to remove my email address from our blog.  Since that time I have received no letters although our mailing address it out there.

I am sharing a few examples of their letters in the following pages.

Response by Joan Boney

The first statement I would make to you is to stop calling yourself "Reverend." It is not in Bible for a minister to do that.

Paul didn't call himself "Reverend" ... neither did any other person in Bible

***

Someone once said to me, "What do we call you now? Reverend?"

I was shocked.

I replied, "NO!  Just call me Joan."

***

By calling yourself "Reverend", you exalt yourself above the Bible.
Repent and refuse to be called this.

Comments by Joan Boney

By this letter of response, I could tell this man did not have any grief or sorrow or understanding at all concerning that which he did by calling himself "Reverend."

In a subsequent email, this man said he wanted to learn about Holy Spirit.

I told him I have printed everything I know about Holy Spirit on our blog. He can look at right side of the blog and see all writings done since 2012.

God told me if this man will not obey Bible or follow Bible, it will do no good for him to come see me.

This man is one of the many "antichrists" in the church today.

We know this because he called himself "Reverend", exalting himself above Bible where no man is called "Reverend." (opposing Bible examples)

Therefore I would not have anything at all to do with this man nor would I let him into my house.

II John  vv.8-11   Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.

He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Preparing Yourself For The Return Of Jesus

Chapter 1

Learn to Pray Continually Over All Things

In Luke 21, Jesus speaks of the end times and of many difficulties that will come in the last days.

Jesus says:

Luke 21:34-36    And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

*****

When we pray always, taking every trouble to God, we put our trust in God.  Prayer to God causes us to be "worthy to escape", connecting us to God.

Often we want to tell other humans our problem, turning to humans.

People might want to help but be unable to help.

God knows all things about the situation and will give us wisdom to deal with the issues when we turn to HIM seeking HIS wisdom through prayer.

James 1:5    If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Keep this scripture before you day and night, thinking of that which is promised in this scripture, until you have this in your heart and can believe what this scripture says.

God showed Joshua the way to overcome on this present earth and these instructions given to Joshua apply to us today.

Joshua 1:8  God says ... This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

The apostle Paul says:

Romans 12:2    And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

*****

As you go forward from today, focus on learning to ask God for wisdom, praying in everything, knowing God will give you wisdom to deal with the matter when you ask HIM.

Keep James 1:5 before your eyes daily until you can really believe this scripture and do this scripture every day.

*  James 1:5    If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

*****

When you really believe this scripture, then begin doing this scripture by faith, knowing God will communicate HIS wisdom to you so you can do HIS will in the matter at hand.

By meditating on scripture daily until you are strong enough to believe that scripture and do that scripture, you develop a very deep root system in God.

Escaping The World God's Way

Preface

In 1975, shortly after I was born again, a man filed a lawsuit against me and against several other business owners, and even against the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth accusing us of conspiracy in trying to keep him from doing business in Dallas in American Indian Arts.  It was so ridiculous, I had trouble taking it seriously at first.  Then the magnitude of the problem hit me.  If I failed to respond to the court system, this man could gain a judgment against me, taking my business away from me and taking my property.  When I realized this, I was terrified!

I was a new Christian at the time.

I saw the following scripture.

Isaiah 54:17 ...  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.

I saw this was a promise to those people who belong to God, which was me.

This lawsuit was a weapon against me.

God was saying, "It will not prosper against you."

I believed that.

The lawsuit was in the courts for several months.  God gave me other scripture during that time to help me fight the fear which was considerable.

Six-days before the trial was scheduled in the US courts, the man dropped all charges against everyone.

The gates of hell will not stand against that word God reveals to you by HIS Spirit.  Mt.16

We who are born again are the chosen of God, the elect of God, the children of God.

Having God for our FATHER is a mightily weapon itself.

Having the Holy Spirit to guide us day by day in this life in the path of God is wonderful.

Paul said we are "more than conquerors" though God, through Jesus, through the Holy Spirit.

John said:   Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world. I Jn. 4

I've certainly found that to be the case.

Guaranteed Success In All That You Do

 David once said:

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. Psalm 37:25

God is faithful to fulfill everything HE says to us.

Moses died and God said the following to Joshua …

Joshua 1 … Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Have not I commanded thee?

Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

*****

God gave Joshua an assignment. Joshua was to replace Moses in leading the children of Israel into the promised land.

The assignment given Joshua differs from our assignments, but the way to achieve success is the same for us as it was for Joshua.

The strength and power of God comes from the word you receive from God by the Holy Spirit.  By the Holy Spirit bringing scripture and thoughts to our mind, we know what will work for us on this present earth because the Holy Spirit shows us the will of God in the matter at hand.

*****

A woman who lives across street from me became very angry with me.  I tried to apologize and she would have no part of my apology.  I tried to reason with her and she slammed the phone down.

A few years later, she blamed me again for a very small incident.  It was completely unreasonable.  I was having firewood delivered and at the exact time the delivery truck came down the street, she was standing in her driveway waiting for someone to pick her up.  The delivery truck pulled into her driveway thinking she was waiting there for him to show him the place to leave the firewood.  She became so angry when she realized the firewood was for me.

I prayed, "What to do?"

I was writing her a note to say how sorry I was for this troubling, when God brought to my mind a scripture by the Holy Spirit and then I knew what to do.

This is what was brought to my mind:

"If the blind lead the blind they both fall into the ditch ... Leave her alone ..."

I tore up the note I was writing and left her alone ... that was several years ago.

Later I was reading Romans 1.  The word "implacable" stood out to me.  I stopped and looked that word up in dictionary to see what it meant.  As I was looking up this word, the memory of the trouble with this woman was brought to my mind.

(This is the Holy Spirit doing all these things ... getting my attention on that word in Romans ... getting me to look up the meaning ... reminding me of this woman.)

Implacable:  opposed to someone in a very angry or determined way that cannot be changed.

Romans 1 ... And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

This woman religiously attends a Methodist church and certainly should know better than to act this way.

*****

I have been very strongly trained by God and exercised in recognizing the thoughts brought by the Holy Spirit showing the will of God in the matter at hand ... and I clearly recognized the operation of the Holy Spirit showing me what God wanted me to do concerning this woman.

All that matters in any issue is:  What does God want me to do?

I Cor. 2 ... the Holy Spirit searches the heart of God to reveal the will of God to us.

Jn. 14:26 ... the Holy Spirit teaches us all things and reminds us of everything Jesus has said to us in scripture and in dreams

Jn. 16:13 ... the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth ... and shows us things to come

Those are incredibly strong advantages for us in this present life.

The Holy Spirit does not force us to do anything so we have to be able to recognize HIM when HE brings these things to our minds.

In this example, notice what happened:

1. HE got my attention focused on the word "implacable" as I read Romans 1 ... It was my job to stop reading and look closely at that word that stood out to me.  I know not to race past scripture when something stands out to me when I am reading Bible.

2. It was up to me to look up that word and see what it meant.  Take time with such ... don't go past it ... look into it ... dig for buried treasure from God ... something is there when Holy Spirit gets your attention.

I had no idea at this point where this was taking me.

3.  As I looked at this word in dictionary, Holy Spirit reminded me of this woman and what she had done.

This is the way the Holy Spirit works in guiding us into all truth, but we have to cooperate.

*****

Another important foundation for the path to success from God in all that we do in this life is the following:

Psalm 1

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

We cannot seek our counsel from the ungodly.

We cannot stand in the way of sinners, the "way", the plans set forth by sinners or traditional ways of worldly human wisdom.

We cannot continue to visit with the scornful.

To do any of the above puts us in the path of destruction.

Scornful:

- one who shows contempt toward a person he considers to be despicable or unworthy

- looking down on someone and complaining about such in a derogatory way

- one who shows strong displeasure against another person while considering self to be more noble, worthy, righteous than that other person

- one who speaks of another person in a disrespectful way, making fun of that person such as saying, "Can you believe he would have said that?"

You must remove yourself from scornful people.

We bring blessings or curses upon ourselves by that which we choose to do.  So it is very important not to continue with ungodly, sinners, or scornful individuals.

*****

The second part of Psalm 1, is to meditate in the word of God day and night.

As we keep that word before us, we gain strength to do that word.

Several years ago, God said to me:

"One step at a time ... one step at a time ... It is enough."

Great Is THY Faithfulness

Preface

In 2017, on our blog, Jesus Ministries Exhortations, I wrote the following:

“It helps a lot to remember that our God created heaven and earth.
How hard can any of our needs be for HIM to provide?”
A woman from our little group responded:  "Reading this caught my attention and made me stop and think.  Very faith building to keep this in mind."

*****
As a result of what she said, I expanded the story as follows:
Thank you... there is a very big difference between our God and all other gods... our God created heaven and earth.

We now have 7 people in our little church group and offerings of about $2000 a month... everyone among us retired... several died over the past 2 years ... most of our 7 are in 70's... I am 80... so far as I know we each have all we need!
*****
Psalm 23:1-3
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

HE maketh me to lie down in green pastures: HE leadeth me beside the still waters.
HE restoreth my soul: HE leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS name's sake.

When we hear the way of God in the matter at hand and do what HE shows us by HIS Spirit in each situation of this life, we make the Lord our shepherd ... and we shall not want when we do that.

*****

The ministry, at the time of this writing, has $9000 in ministry checking account at bank ... with no debt.

My social security is $779 per month...each month.  (I take no salary from ministry but live in house owned by ministry.)   After paying personal expenses, there is money left over...
We go all over world with gospel daily for free without leaving home.
More than 15,000 page views of our blog per month are reported by Google and since beginning blog in March, 2012, we have had more than 650,000 page views of our blog.  Jesus Ministries Exhortations

We have 27 ministry books published on Amazon and these books are distributed all over the world

All this is done without any cost at all to the ministry.

Incredible!

And the way all this was set up by God ...development of computers and Internet at just the right time for us to use this... and e-book development also... and showing me, by dreams and by concepts brought to my mind by the Holy Spirit, exactly what to do at each step along the way ... is miraculous.

God called a blog to my attention by giving me a dream.  In this dream, a woman was singing to a group of people.  I said, "It is a little voice, but it is a nice little voice."  I realized this was a way to communicate with the church ... a blog ... Within 3 days of this dream we had a blog set up and had begun writing exhortations to the church.  Indeed it was a "little" voice ... but it was a nice little voice.

Recently I read a secular book concerning the demise of Braniff Airlines in 1982
At that time, I had 2 friends who were very closely associated with Braniff, one was a vice-president at their world headquarters in Dallas where I lived.
Reading that Braniff book (Splash of Colors: The self-destruction of Braniff International Airlines ... John Nance)  has strongly brought to my attention how very different God's ways are from man's ways in running a business or corporation.

In 1981, a friend who was an executive at Braniff, told me she had never seen anyone run a corporation like I was doing.  She said everywhere she had been the rule was:  never use your own money...use other people's money to make money.

A few months after telling me this, Braniff closed down due to debt, filing bankruptcy.  Barbara was one of their vice-presidents at their world headquarters in Dallas.  Everyone lost their jobs.

We have so little in our church group, but so much.

And we have the only essential need...God, who leads us and guides us and shows us what to do.

And God's ways are very different from the ways of man.

*****
This book is the story of the difference between the way God leads us and the way humans think.

As we read these chapters, we can see God doing according to HIS own will and purpose!

God is faithful to fulfill HIS will and accomplish that which HE pleases in our lives.

HYMN:  GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS
Great is THY faithfulness, O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with THEE.

THOU changest not,
THY compassions, they fail not.

As THOU has been THOU forever wilt be.

(Chorus)

Great is THY faithfulness!
Great is THY faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;

All I have needed THY hand hath provided -
Great is THY faithfulness, LORD unto me.

The Story Begins

I was 37 years old.  It was August, 1975.  I was staying in the home of my best friend and her husband following surgery.

That night, I went to bed and began reading one of Donna's books about sin.

I thought I was a Christian, having been baptized in Church of Christ when I was 15-years-old.

As I read that book, God began speaking to me.

By HIS Spirit, putting HIS word directly into my mind, God said:

"Joan ... You know all those mistakes you've been making all these years?   Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."

Sins? ... I shouted ... I thought they were mistakes.

With that,  my life changed forever.  I was born again by the Spirit of God, by the will of God, not by my works or by my will.  I didn't even know I was lost until I was saved.

*****

The next morning, I was leaving Donna's house and as I walked past her, I casually said, "Oh by the way, Donna, I don't think I've been a Christian until now."

Donna literally screamed out:  "Joanie ... wait ... what did you just say?  Come back here!"

I didn't think much about it at the time.

I turned and told her what had happened to me the night before and how God had spoken to me.

She, who was raised Baptist, was a little emotional and began crying as I told her.

*****

A few days later, I was asleep in the night.

I was "transported" into heaven.  I was with God, with Jesus, with the Holy Spirit.

(No physical images.  An experience in the Spirit.)

At that time, I was "merged" into the body of Jesus, THE WORD, made one with THE WORD, God and the Holy Spirit witnessing.

It was wonderful!

I thought this happened to all who became real Christians so I didn't mention it to anyone.

After that, it happened again, a few nights later.

I was asleep in the night.  I was "transported" into heaven.  I was with God, with Jesus, with the Holy Spirit.  (No physical images.  An experience in the Spirit.)   At that time, I was "merged" into the body of Jesus, THE WORD, made one with THE WORD, God and the Holy Spirit witnessing.

Now everything changed for me.
I owned a small business in Dallas, Texas, at the time this happened.  I was no longer interested in my business.  All I cared about was Bible and the church.

I continued operating the business for 4 more years.  I had 3 very competent women working for me so I could stay home and read the Bible, which is what I did during those years.

I had no idea God had called me to be a minister.

I didn't know a woman could do this.  My previous church experience was in Church of Christ and women were not allowed to speak in the main service, though they could teach Sunday school classes to children, a very strange doctrine for apparently they didn't consider these classes to be speaking in the church.

*****

This was really the beginning of everything.  It was all by the will of God.  I wasn't trying to do anything or to be anything.  God was just arranging the circumstances to get me to the position where HE wanted me for HIS calling on my life.  It was all God, as we should be able to see by the following examples in this book and by what happened.

*****

During that time, as I continued to run the business and to deal with the problems from day to day, God taught me to hear HIM and to do things as HE instructed me in running the business and in living my life day to day.

God started by teaching me of the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer:

John 14:26    Jesus says ... But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

So God taught me to just read the Bible and to know that the Holy Spirit would call to my mind verses from the Bible to show me what to do as I operated the business and in my life as I walked on this present earth.

John 16:13    Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.

*****

I saw how the Holy Spirit searches the heart of God to reveal the will of God to us.

I Corinthians 2:4-13    (Paul says)  And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:  That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

*****

I saw, by these scriptures, what the Holy Spirit would do in my life:

- He would teach me all things.  Jn. 14:26
- He would remind me of what Jesus said.  Jn. 14:26
- He would guide me into all truth.  Jn. 16:13
- He would show me things to come.  Jn. 16:13

And I saw that the Holy Spirit hears from God, and searches the heart of God, and knows the will of God in the issues of this present life, and The Holy Spirit would show me the will of God by reminding me of specific scripture or by reminding me of dreams or concepts of God.

All I had to do was to pay attention to those things brought to my mind by the Holy Spirit and do that in the issues of this life as I continued on this present earth.

*****

The following scripture was critical in teaching me to walk in the ways of God.

John 5:30    (Jesus said)   I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear (from God), I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

If the Son of God could do nothing of his own self, certainly I couldn't do anything by my own ideas.  I must do as Jesus did and hear from God by HIS Spirit and do that.

Very soon I was to have a major test in this area.

John 16 ... Reading through the Bible

1 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.  2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. 3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

4 But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them.

And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. 5 But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? 6 But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:  9 Of sin,  because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me (THE WORD): for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

17 Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father? 18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.

19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me? 20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you,  Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.

26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: 27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

29 His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.  30 Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

31 Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? 32Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Pray always

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Luke 18 … 1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while:but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Jesus is showing that things will get so bad on the earth before HE returns that many will lose faith in God.

Heb. 10 … 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Godly exhortations are very important for us to hold on to our faith in God as Jesus’ return nears.

We may not understand “why”, but we do see in the scriptures to do these exhortations and so much the more, as we see the day approaching.

By the removal of many doctrines from the churches and by the approval of various sins in both churches and the world, we see the day of the Lord drawing nearer.

Psalm 55 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture

1 Give ear to my prayer, O God;
and hide not thyself from my supplication.
2 Attend unto me, and hear me:
I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked:
for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.

4 My heart is sore pained within me:
and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
5 Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me,
and horror hath overwhelmed me.

6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove!
for then would I fly away, and be at rest.

7 Lo, then would I wander far off,
and remain in the wilderness. Selah.

8 I would hasten my escape
from the windy storm and tempest.

9 Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues:
for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
10 Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof:
mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
11 Wickedness is in the midst thereof:
deceit and guile depart not from her streets.

12 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it:
neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:

13 But it was thou, a man mine equal,
my guide, and mine acquaintance.

14 We took sweet counsel together,
and walked unto the house of God in company.

15 Let death seize upon them,
and let them go down quick into hell:
for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.

16 As for me, I will call upon God;
and the Lord shall save me.

17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud:
and he shall hear my voice.

18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me:
for there were many with me.

19 God shall hear, and afflict them,
even he that abideth of old. Selah.

Because they have no changes,
therefore they fear not God.

20 He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him:
he hath broken his covenant.

21 The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart:
his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and HE shall sustain thee:
HE shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

23 But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction:
bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days;

but I will trust in thee.

Hebrews 3:1-9

1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; 2 Who was faithful to HIM (to God) that appointed Him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. (all things were created by HIM, by the WORD)

4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.

5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, 8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

Comments by Joan Boney ... They saw the works of God 40 years as God led them through the wilderness and cared for them, supplying every need. They saw God part the Red Sea. They saw God bring the Red Sea over Pharaoh and his men and drown them in the Red Sea. They saw God feed them with manna from heaven. They saw God bring water out of a rock to give them drink....

Often when I am tempted or discouraged, I stop and remember what I've seen God do in my life.

How can I doubt when I think on that which God has done.

It is important to reflect on these things to enable us to hold fast in times when we are tempted.

God says ... Heb. 3 ...

10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. 11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

There is a rest provided by God through HIS Word to us... We cease from our own works when we remember what God has done. This brings us into rest in believing.
