💥 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God

Colossians 3:1-3  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Dead - (of a place or time) characterized by a lack of activity or excitement. 

 

So using this definition we are lacking in activity and excitement for things of this world. We are quiet and unassuming ........ not loud or boisterous. We do not make spectacles of ourselves or participate in some outings that others do. We are reserved and sober carefully evaluating our surroundings ....... watching the words we speak.

Hid - put or keep out of sight; conceal from the view or notice of others. 

 

In this definition, others around us may not see us or notice us. We turn to God with our concerns and problems. Others so often call their friends, relatives or turn to the internet to get advice or guidance. Many air their concerns on social media. Our personal business is not out there for others to see.

Because we take our concerns to God and do what HE communicates to us, we appear to be dead as our life is hid with Christ.
