The Holy Spirit of God in each believer

 Book:  Exhortations For The Church
Vol. 5, Chapter 29
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Jesus says:  Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  John 3

*****

When God reveals HIMSELF to us, we are "born again" by God and given the Spirit of God to dwell in us to lead us and guide us while we live on this earth.

Roman 8:13-14 ... Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of HIS.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

The Spirit of Christ which dwells in us brings thoughts to our mind to show us the way of God as we are making choices on this present earth.

The Spirit of Christ, The Holy Spirit, searches the heart of God to reveal to us the will of God.

I Corinthians 2:6-10 ... Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect:

(perfect:  those perfected in Christ who have been given HIS Spirit to dwell in them)

yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:  Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.  But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit:

for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God

Each of us are connected to God and to Christ by HIS Spirit which dwells in us.

The Spirit searches the heart of God to reveal the will of God to the believer so the believer knows the way to go on this present earth.

But we also know the devil tries to imitate the spirit to take us a wrong way.  And the flesh gets involved with imaginings of the fleshly heart to try to take us in the way of the flesh.

So we really have to know what is going on with us at the time we think we have heard from God.

If we are desirous of things (our will be done) ...then the flesh can rise up in us to bring us all types of ideas which seem like the Spirit.

The devil operates as "an angel of light" so devil brings ideas which seem good to us and right and even godly.

For example:  To a radio or TV minister, the devil could bring idea to add even more stations ... get the word out even more ... setting minister on fire to "speak the word" over all the world ... ending up sinking the minister in financial problems and causing that minister to do things unseemly to get more money to pay for his ministry.   Then then minister turns into a "beggar" and even an extortioner, using scripture to try to get more money from people... making false promises to the people, twisting scripture to get from the people that which he needs.  And underneath all this is the ego of the minister who often wants to be great in the eyes of the people, having more and more stations to show his own greatness, motivated by personal greatness which is cloaked in getting "the word" out.  This happens.

So we must always be aware of that which is going on inside us at the time we are hearing "a word" ...

If there is any strife or envy, we could easily take in a perverted word.  If there is a desire for greatness or advancement of some sort, we have set a foundation for perversion in the word we read or hear.

We have to approach everything keeping a pure heart!

When we live without pretense, without hypocrisy, keeping our heart free from strife and evil of our flesh, desiring only to serve God as HE wills, then we have a foundation set to hear the will of God by the Spirit of God.

Just be warned:  You have to keep your heart with all diligence.

The following is the work of the Holy Spirit:

I Cor. 2:11-13  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Another very dangerous trapWhen we think we know what another person needs and we set about to tell that person what he needs, the work may be a work out of our own flesh and our own heart.

Instead, we need to give all our ideas up to God in prayer.  Asking God to have us speak only that which HE wants spoken when we are going to speak to that person.  Then we speak as we are reminded by God when we talk with the person.

We have to purify our own heart before we speak with the person.  We have to give up what we think that person should hear.  We have to enter into the moment without preconceived ideas of what that person needs.

"THY will be done" ... must be our approach.

Jesus said:   I can of mine own self do nothing:as I hear, I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not MINE own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent ME.   John 5:30

*****

Before we speak with another person, we have to purify our hearts through prayer, giving up our own idea of what that person needs.

We have to commit ourselves to God in prayer, asking Him to allow us to speak only that which HE wants spoken.

Not planning anything ahead.

Putting your trust in God that HE will bring to your mind any scripture or example HE wants spoken at the time you are meeting with the other person. Trust God to open doors that He wants opened, making way for subjects HE wants spoken.

Then speaking that which is brought to your mind when you are with the other person ... not holding back ...
