Joan Boney … apostle/prophet
I Samuel 16:23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
***
Saul disobeyed God. God removed Saul from being king and replaced Saul with David and gave HIS Spirit to David and brought an evil spirit upon Saul.
I Samuel 16:14-19 But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him.
And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.
Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him.
Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep.

It would seem that when God sends evil spirit to trouble the human, there would be nothing one could do to help that human.
But this scripture shows us something else. The music caused that evil spirit from the Lord to be driven away.
***
When we are troubled, we who are Christians know to pray to God in such times and to ask God to help us, and that we do this with each troubling thought!
We can ask God for HIS wisdom in the matter according to the following promise of God.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Winston Churchill would fall into depression from time to time which he called "his black dog."
He dealt with his depression in a worldly way. He built brick walls and that seemed to help him.
Women often go shopping to change their "mood" or some clean out closets.
***
We, who are of God overcome through God, by turning to God in prayer and asking God to give us wisdom to show us why we fell into this depression.
Spirits can affect us for good or bad.
Often if we have done wrong or gone in a way that is not of God in an issue, we will feel a little "down."
Or if we have done right in the matter, the devil will try to make us think we have done wrong.
The devil tries to destroy us. God tries to save us.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (Jesus, The Word) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
James 4:6-7 God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
(Submit yourselves to God in prayer … resist the devil with that which God brings to your mind.)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus (The Word), after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
