Psalm 28 ... John 1

7-8    The Lord (The Word) is my strength and my shield; 
my heart trusted in Him (in The Word), and I am helped: 
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; 
and with my song will I praise Him (The Word).

The Lord (The Word) is their strength, 
and HE (The Word) is the saving strength of His anointed.

If you will learn to read the Bible as is illustrated above, I believe things will become sharper to you in these verses and you will be more focused on that which Jesus really, "The Word".

John 1

1-5    In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by HIM (the Word); and without HIM (The Word) was not any thing made that was made.

In HIM (The Word) was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the light (The Word) shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

9-12    That (The Word) was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

He (The Word) was in the world, and the world was made by Him (The Word), and the world knew Him (The Word)  not.

He (The Word) came unto His own, and His own received him not.

But as many as received Him (The Word), to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on HIS name (The Word):

 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (The Word).

14   And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,

Jesus (The Word) appeared for a season on this earth as a man.  He looked like a man but he, a Spirit, had taken on the form of a human for a short period of time but he was truly The Word.

Today Jesus (The Word) speaks to us by HIS Spirit, The Holy Spirit, who lives in us.  The Holy Spirit brings The Word to our minds so we can walk in HIM.
