God saves HIS own

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Paul said there would be perilous times in the last days.  II Timothy 3:1

We now live in those perilous times for the apostasy in churches, where they have cast away portions of scripture, is rampant.

If you are of God and sitting among them you will be grieved.

You may not even know why you are grieved but you will be grieved when you have the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, in you.

But even then, God knows how to save you.

God once brought me out of an apostate church by giving me a dream.

In this dream, a man was speaking to a group of people.  I went into the room and began to listen.  A second man rushed into the room and said:  "Stop ... wait ... can't you see ... it's too late ... it's already begun.  The first man resumed speaking.

I wanted to see what had "already begun."

So I looked out the window.  I saw a tall pole with a yellow civil defense warning speaker on top of the pole.  Out of the speaker was coming a gas.  I knew the gas was poisonous and it was coming directly toward us.

The shocking thing was this:  The speaker that was put there to warn us was the instrument that was being used to gas us to death.

I looked at the man who was sitting next to me.  He had a big smile on his face and was looking directly at the man who was speaking to the group.  But I saw then that this man was a corpse.  He was dead.

I looked around the room and saw that all the people who were listening to the speaker were dead.

And as I sat among them, I felt myself becoming sleepy.  And I knew the gas coming from the speaker was killing me too.

At first I didn't know the meaning of this dream ... but one Wednesday night at church, I glanced at the man sitting next to me and was very shocked.  This was the dead man in my dream.  I then realized all the people who were there listening to the man speaking to this church group were dead.

I got up immediately and went to the ladies room and began praying:

"God ... I think YOU are telling me to leave this church group so I am going to drive away ... but if YOU want me to return I will.

God did not want me to return to that group.  Instead HE began showing me doctrines that were being taught in that group which were opposite to the doctrines of Christ in the Bible.

This was one of the apostate churches of the end times... a "faith movement" church ... where we were learning to take authority and find a scripture to stand on and be "as gods", rather than asking God for help.

II Thessalonians 2:3-4    Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first (churches would fall away from scripture), and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

What we were being taught to do at that church seemed right for we were using scripture all the time.

But it was not that we were turning to God for HIS help, allowing HIM to be God, rather we were hunting a scripture to stand on making ourselves as gods, thinking to control everything ourselves.

It is a very subtle difference between turning to God for help and using our own minds and our own thinking to find scripture to justify what we wanted to do.

Often the will of God for us in the matter is completely eliminated from the action.  It is just what do you want to do ... find a scripture to stand on to do what you want to do.

It didn't work but when you didn't get what you wanted you were taught the reason you failed is weak faith.  So you are trapped in the doctrine.

God used the dream to get me free.

But there are many forms of apostasy in many churches today ... Any church group that eliminates a portion of scripture or changes the meaning of scripture to make the teaching more popular is apostate.

We have to hold fast to what that scripture says.

My aunt had been Church of Christ all her life.

Before she died she said to me, "I know things are wrong at church."

The last time I spoke with her, she asked:  "What do you think happens to us when we die?"

I replied:  "We just fall asleep."

She thought about this and replied:  "That's what I think."

In the Bible, we have the example of Lazarus dying and Jesus saying Lazarus was asleep.

John 11:11-14    Jesus said:     Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.  Then said His disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.

Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that HE had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

Another example in Bible showing that those who die are asleep:

I Thessalonians 4:13-17

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent
(precede) them which are asleep (dead).

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

My aunt who asked me what I thought happened to those who died, had revealed to me that she once  had a spiritual experience where she was taken into heaven.  She said, "And it was all golden."

She was very different from the other people I knew.

Yet she remained in a church group where she knew things were wrong.

I had a dream about her once.  I went into a room where there was a row of bassinettes.  I walked down the row and looked at each of the babies.  They had horrible deformities.  At the end of the row stood my aunt.  She was fully grown, but she had blemishes on her face.

I believe this dream was showing me that many in the church are as babies, never really growing, and they are horribly deformed by the doctrine of their church group.  My aunt was fully grown, thus recognizing things were wrong at the church she had attended all her life.  But she did have blemishes, likely because she stayed in a church group where she knew things were wrong.

I think this is the following scripture.

I Corinthians 3:13-15

Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

My cleaning lady is a Catholic.

She told me this interesting story.  There was a priest that she found herself unable to address as "Father."  She said she didn't know anything wrong about him but no matter, she just couldn't call him, "Father."  And she never did call him "Father."

It certainly seems like the Holy Spirit stopped her that one time ... but she did continue to call other men in the Catholic church "Father".

She knows very little Bible for she has been taught at the Catholic church that people like her should not read Bible for they might get it wrong.  In Catholic church she was taught to go to priest when she wanted to know what to do.

If you fail to read Bible, you subject yourself to many wrong things taught by men in churches.

Jesus said:  Matthew 23:8-9

But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

I Corinthians 9:24-27    Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

The flesh will rise up and take over and exert it's own will when we will allow it to do such.

Therefore we watch and be sober, controlling our flesh.

Overindulgence (becoming drunk with too much talk or too much secular activity) is one way the flesh can gain control.  For when we allow too many fleshly activities, we grow tired and have less control.  Jesus calls this surfeiting.

Luke 21:34    And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

* Surfeiting- excessive amount of something, overindulgence

* cares of this life:   Too much focus on this life ... not enough prayer concerning problems ... taking care upon your own self rather than asking God to help

These are a few of the things that pull us down.

Colossians 3:1-3    If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory.

Everything we can see with our natural eye will be destroyed.  So why pay so much fleshly attention to that which we can see?  Instead pray over people and things.

Also we are pulled down greatly when we fail to take all our concerns to God in prayer.

Concerning rewards in heaven, the apostle John says:

II John 8-11    Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

There are rewards in heaven.

Matthew 16:27    Jesus says:    For the Son of man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then HE shall reward every man according to his works.

I Corinthians 3:8    Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

I Corinthians 3:14    If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

Revelation 22:12    And, behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

One of the most important things to do is to be sure it is God who authored that which we are doing.

Did God tell me to do this?

If so, you are building your work upon a good foundation and can go forward, but be sure to continue to pray for God to show you how to do that work that HE has told you to do.
