Don't Be Pulled Off Scripture

II Tim. 3:12-17   Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Do not be pulled away from scripture.

Cling to that which God has shown you from Bible.  We have the Holy Spirit.  There is another spirit that would try to get us to doubt those scriptures we once learned. That spirit is antichrist ... opposite to the Word.

You learned that the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery didn't you?  Why would you consider the words of Jesus not applicable today?

Hold fast to those doctrines from Bible that you learned by the Holy Spirit long ago.  They never change.

Let what happened in England be example.  In 1936, Edward wanted to marry divorced woman.  It was not permitted by the people nor the government.  Edward renounced the throne to marry this divorced woman.  I've even heard people glory over a man who gives up a throne to marry someone, her being more important to him than the throne.  They call it romantic.  The Bible calls it adultery.  Today in England they have left this teaching of Bible.

Mt. 5:32   Jesus says ... But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Today society (in USA) calls drunkenness a disease.  The Bible calls drunkenness a sin of the flesh and even says those "brothers" who do these things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Gal. 5:19-21   Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Many churches today teach a doctrine of once saved always saved.

Even the apostle Paul told us he kept his own body under control lest having preached to others he himself be cast away.

I Cor. 9:27   But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Those who endure to the end of their lives on this earth, believing in scripture and holding to scripture, will be saved, for JESUS is The Word.

You cannot cast aside portions of scripture and hold onto Jesus.

Therefore the apostle Paul exhorts us to continue in the scriptures for they have the power to make us wise unto salvation through faith in Christ.

But some in the churches are going to have a strong delusion sent by God so they will believe lies spoken by humans.

II Thess. 2   Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Don't be one of them.  Cling to scripture regardless.

And you must not sit with those who call themselves brothers who cast aside scripture.

2 John

9-11   Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

It is not a matter of them saying Jesus is Lord.  Rather it is a matter of them saying things like, the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.  For such things are the doctrine of Christ.

So specifically if they come saying it is permitted for a man to marry a divorced woman, don't sit with them.  Don't wish them well.  For to wish them well causes you to be partaker of their evil deeds and brings you into their judgment.
