Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
After Jesus arose, HE gave ministry gifts to the church ...
Eph. 4 ... 11 And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
After the crucifixion and resurrection Jesus gave these to the NT church to help the church.
In
the New Testament, each person received by God is given The Holy Spirit
to guide them into all truth, to teach them all things, to remind them
of everything Jesus has said, to show them things to come. (Jn. 14:26 /
Jn. 16:13)
We no longer have to go to a prophet to seek the will of God as they did in the Old Testament.
But we see prophets are still part of the ministry today as we read in Ephesians 4.
We have a few examples of New Testament prophets in the book of Acts.
Acts 11 ... 27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.
28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the
Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world:which
came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar. 29 Then the disciples,
every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the
brethren which dwelt in Judaea:30 Which also they did, and sent it to
the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
Prophets
are often used by God to deliver message to individuals and to church
groups. Sometimes the individual will be trapped in a sin and be
praying to get loose and God will choose to send a NT prophet to speak a
message to free this person.
In
our own little church group, a woman was trying to uproot bitterness
and things that had been buried inside her mind, often for years. She
dealt with some memories through prayer. Then she asked God if anything
was hidden in her, to please show her.
That
same morning that she prayed this, I became very troubled over this
woman. Finally I called her to tell her something was hidden from her.
She desired to be approved by the church but God approves us when HE
gives us HIS Spirit. If we have the Holy Spirit we have God's approval.
(I do not mean speaking in tongues. I mean if the Spirit of God lives
in us we have God approval and the church accepts us then as the
church.)
Romans 8:16 ...The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

I
have a cleaning woman who has worked for me several years. She has
watched me week by week and has seen me live a life which is bewildering
to her. She sees me generously pay her and others. (She frequently frets over money.) She has seen me live by faith ... she even said, "But what if it doesn't happen." (But it does for God does not fail me.) She
is terrified of the Bible, being Catholic. She asked me, "Aren't you
afraid to read the Bible?" I assume she has been taught at some point
by Catholic priest that "lay-people" like her cannot understand the
Bible and shouldn't read Bible but priests will tell them what they need
to know. I have see this before in people who are Catholic church
members.
She
watched me publish books with Amazon. I even gave her one of the
books, "Taking Thoughts Captive", which is the book she wanted.
But
I know she doesn't believe what I say about God, though she sees me
live a life different from other humans and often comments as to how she
couldn't live like I do.
She even said to me once, "Don't you ever feel you need to purchase something to keep up with the Jones," so to speak...
As I thought about her and what I believe she thinks about me, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the following words of Jesus ...
Mt.
13... 53 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these
parables, he departed thence. 54 And when he was come into his own
country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were
astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty
works? 55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called
Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? 56 And
his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? 57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. 58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

In
1985, I moved to Clovis, NM (USA) where my mother lived. My dad had
died and I felt my mother would need help. I was born in Clovis and
lived 30-miles north of Clovis. There were people there that I went to
elementary through high school with.
We were doing ministry work then by sending exhortations to the church through US mail. (There was no Internet at that time.)
I
mailed one of the exhortations to a women from my high school. She is a
Methodist. She sent me a letter asking me not to send her anymore
materials. So I didn't.
Lk. 4:24 ... Jesus said ... No prophet is accepted in his own country.

I
still speak truth from God regardless of where I am but often I am
rejected by those in my own household (like the cleaning lady) and
rejected in my own country where I was once a child.
Mk. 6 ... (They were offended with Jesus when HE spoke to them) ... 4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands
upon a few sick folk, and healed them. 6 And he marvelled because of
their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

When we published the 10 ministry books in the "Life in Christ"
series on Amazon, I called a woman from my high school. Her husband of
60+ years had died. I thought she could be helped by reading these
book. I don't believe she ordered them.
Jn. 4:44 ... Jesus said ... A prophet hath no honor in his own country.
This
woman is the most political person I have ever met. In 2015, when I
learned her husband had died, I called her and talked with her. At that
time she surprised me by saying, "There is no hope in politics." I felt she meant the potential candidates in both parties were so extreme she couldn't stand either.
As the presidential election in the United States in 2016 (Clinton vs. Trump) appeared, I sent her some scripture hoping to help her to endure what she was seeing.
Daniel 4:25 ... the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever HE will.
Psalm 75 ... 6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
7 But God is the judge: HE putteth down one, and setteth up another.
Jesus said ... My kingdom is not of this world. Jn. 18:36
According to the Bible, this present heaven and earth will be destroyed.
II Peter 3 ... 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in
the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the
elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that
are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all
these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be
in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking
for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens
being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with
fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent
that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
This present world will never be "righteousness".
Righteousness will be in the new heaven, the new earth, the new Jerusalem ...
Revelation 21 ... (John said) ... 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle
of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his
people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God
shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more
death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.
The high school friend that I sent this to called me the same day she received what I wrote and she thanked me and she said, "That did help me. That was a really good writing."
Nevertheless I did not think she would read the books available on Amazon nor our blog (Jesus Ministries Exhortations) where
I share what God has shown me and there are many godly exhortations to
help us. I even read these at night to help me to be edified in the
faith in God in this time of extreme wickedness on this present earth.
She
has quit going to church because she said it feels so dead to her. She
asked me if I knew someone called Kenneth Copeland. I told her his
mother was one of my best friends in the 1980's. I told her Copeland
has sought aliance with the Catholic pope and on his website he proudly
shows pictures of his 3 hour audience with the Catholic pope.
She was horrified at this.
I
even sent her a picture of Copeland with the Catholic pope and an
article where Copeland told about his audience with Catholic pope.
I felt my friend was being lured into the Copeland movement.
She is very upset over the Southern Baptist president who has also joined forces with the Catholic pope.
I felt she might back off from Copeland when she saw the photo of Copeland with the Catholic pope for this picture tells it all.
Copeland
is very handsome and has an excellent popular type singing voice ...
very romantic type voice ... this is very seductive to women like my
friend.

There is a "one unified church" movement going on today. Regardless of the doctrine, they want to accept one another.
There
is one church but it is the church where God has given HIS Spirit, the
Holy Spirit, to each believer. This has nothing at all to do with the
various denominations of churches of men where doctrine is set up and
omitted at will based on personal preference. That is the antichrist in
the churches just as Paul said would happen.
The
churches would fall away from Bible and specific scriptures. They will
have "a form of doctrine" but they will twist scripture to permit sin
to be approved in the congregation.
Paul spoke of this in the churches in the following scripture. This would happen in the churches in the last days.
II Thess. 2 ... 1
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in
mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as
from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you
by any means:for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first,
and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth
and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is
worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing
himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was
yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what
withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of
iniquity doth already work:only he who now letteth will let, until he be
taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom
the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy
with the brightness of his coming:9 Even him, whose coming is after the
working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with
all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they
received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And
for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should
believe a lie:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the
truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to
give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because
God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through
sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:14 Whereunto he
called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord
Jesus Christ. 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the
traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
The "falling away" would be churches falling away from the Bible.
Antichrist would rule in the churches with twisting of doctrine. Antichrist is called "the man of lawlessness" (NIV)
Spirit of antichrist would come into the hearts of leaders of church groups allowing "antichrist" to sit "in the temple of God".
Antichrist spirit in the hearts of these men and women would act as if they themselves were "God".
Jesus would destroy them and their followers in the "brightness of HIS coming."
