Be not conformed to this world

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Romans 12 ... 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world:but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

II Tim. 3 ... 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

When we were born again, the old man in us died and we were raised with Christ to live to God rather than to ourselves in this present life.  Now we no longer serve sin by our flesh but we serve God by the Spirit that dwells in us.

We are continually transformed from the ways of the flesh and from the ways of this world as we walk in HIS Spirit doing HIS will.  The flesh does not rule over us as it once did.  We are now new creations, created in HIM.

Thus we are continually transformed from the flesh and this world by the renewing of our minds to the Word of God.

The Holy Spirit may remind us of a scripture or dream ... when we focus on that, we are transformed ...

This process continues as long as we live on this earth.

Heb. 8 ... 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts:and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord:for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Choose to walk in the Spirit, following the Spirit and not the flesh.

The difference between the flesh and the Spirit are described in Galations 5.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:and these are contrary the one to the other:so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance:against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

At the moment God reveals HIMSELF to us and causes us to be born again, we are changed instantly.  It is as if we die.  The old man in us dies so that we can now serve God instead of ourselves.  As we die to the old, we are resurrected to the new, to God.

For the remainder of our life on this earth, we are confronted with choices.  If we serve our flesh we go in way of death.  When we reject the flesh and choose to walk in love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness temperance we follow the Spirit.

Romans 8 ... 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 13 ...  8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another:for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour:therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep:for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand:let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
