2 Timothy 2
1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

Secular projects often "entangle" us and take us away from focusing on the Word of God and staying ready in peace as we wait for the return of Jesus and the end of this world.
We will find ourselves reading the Bible but not focused on Bible but are thinking of secular things which need to be done.
I am trying to do daily things that will edify the church. And I often measure what I am doing today by asking myself: Will this that I am doing cause the church to be edified today?
I believe the end is near ... the church will need the help I can give them if I keep myself in the right direction, edifying the church, and free from strife.
Devils will bring to my mind many things which I can do today. (some might even need to be done) Devil's goal is to keep us busy and away from that which God would have us do today.
Luke 10
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to HIM, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
