Reports: Asking God for Wisdom #4

Pam Padgett ... Member of body of Christ

My house has a patio door going out to the back yard and looking over the open space behind my yard. My dogs spend lots of time there.

However, one of my dogs, Gus, tends to get excited and starts to bark when he sees rabbits or squirrels in the yard or people and dogs walking in the open space. When he excitedly barks I usually put him in a crate inside house until he calms down.

But yesterday he would be out of the crate for just a few seconds before seeing something that excited him and he would start barking again.

I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to keep Gus in the crate at all times, but neither did I want this disruption.

Then a thought came ... to block off the patio door so the dogs could not get there. It was so easy to move just a couple pieces of furniture to do this. Instantly there was no more barking!

I left the way blocked and it has been so quiet today. No excitement and barking. The dogs have just gone to other areas of the house to lay down.

As I was enjoying how quiet it has been I realized that the idea to block off the patio door was given me from the Holy Spirit, and am so grateful for this!

A while back I was walking across parking lot headed toward grocery store.

I really like the little carts πŸ›’ not the big ones.   I am just buying groceries for 2 people and the large carts make me feel like I am pushing a gigantic boat through the store.

This day, as I was walking towards store, I actually prayed that God would please help me to be able to find a small cart.

But when I got to the cart area I saw that all the little ones were gone.

Then the thought came to me to go back out the door and look to the right.
I did that and there was one little cart all by itself.

Thinking about how God helped me here makes me rejoice in how God knows all things, watches over us at all times and cares about every part of our daily lives!

How blessed we are to have been taught and to believe that our relationship with God is very close and constant.

Barbara's email reminded me of something that happened to me about a year ago.

I was changing the tiny light bulb in my makeup mirror and I dropped it on the carpet. I got down on my hands and knees and looked for it and even ran my hand over the carpet, but couldn’t find it.

I started to pray, but had the thought that I should not ask God to help me find such a small, unimportant thing.

I knew that thought was from the devil.

As I stood up, and even before I had time to pray, I felt something under my toes.

It was the light bulb.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Does God care about the little things in our lives?

What do the scriptures show us?

Philippians 4:6   Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

By this Word of God we can see that God does care about everything that pertains to each of our lives.

It is important to prove our doctrine by praying over the doctrine and by that which the Holy Spirit calls to our attention.

Also consider this instruction:

James 1:5    If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

God is omnipotent.

Revelation 19:6    The Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Omnipotent:

- having unlimited power
- able to do anything

God sees unlimited numbers of people at a time ... HE is not limited as a human who can focus on only one thing or one person at a time.

God is all knowing at all time.

God never has more requests than HE can deal with.

As humans we are so limited that it is hard for us to have a concept of the unlimited power of God.

By the various instructions given in the Bible we get a glimpse into this.  For millions can pray all over this world at the same moment and God can deal with each prayer and give wisdom for all problems.

Nothing is too hard for God.  (Genesis 18:14)

I Peter 5:7   Casting all your care upon HIM; for HE careth for you

God is a spirit.  HE is not bound by limitations of the flesh.
