Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
An idea comes to us and it seems like it would be good to do that idea. Certainly we pray, asking God if that is something "HE" wants us to do.
Sometimes God will remove the idea completely.
Other ways to know whether or not the idea is from God is to pay attention to the following description ...
James 3 ... 13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
Are you trying to beat out another person and hoping the plan will help you get ahead of your competitor? When this is the case, you are going in a way of the flesh. This is one of the primary things our own flesh does, to try to beat people. (emulations: Gal. 5)
But now we are of God? The old man we once were is now dead. He no longer rules us.
When the plan is of God, we will see the following:
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
- pure (not born from your own fleshly desire)
- peaceable
- gentle
- easy to be intreated
- fully of mercy & good fruits
- without partiality
- without hypocrisy (without pretense)
In November, 2016, I purchased a Kindle HD Fire tablet to replace my lst generation Kindle. The new Kindle was very different from the old Kindle. It had added music, camera, dictation. I began to try to find out how to use this. I started by purchasing guides. I wanted to know basic things dealing with settings also. It turned out the manuals were too advanced for my level. Pam Padgett (in our little church group) would try to help me by sending me emails telling me how to make the screen brighter or darker, how to make the letters larger in size, how to set various things. After emails between us began to stack up, I felt we were creating a basic book. We put the information on a blog for other people to use.
One day, I began wondering how people manage to publish books on Amazon.
As I sat thinking about this question, an idea came into my mind.
Just type into Amazon's search box: "How do you publish books on Kindle". I typed that into the Amazon search box and immediately information concerning Kindle Direct Publishing came on screen. KDP told how to publish in Kindle format ... in paperback ... in audiobooks.
I glanced through the information and turned it over to Pam, asking her to read it. Within a few minutes we were discussing this.
- It would not cost us any money at all to publish in kindle form with Amazon.
- Amazon goes all over the world so exposure should be good.
- We were writing about how to use Kindle produce, Kindle Fire HD, so it should fit there.
Question: Is this a reputable publishing company, Kindle Direct Publishing. They were using Amazon logo on their information. I decided they were an Amazon company.
When we looked further into this possibility, we could see how we could make this information into book form. Pam pursued this since she has computer background.
We printed the Kindle Fire HD book and as Pam was transferring the material into the form Amazon could use to publish, I began thinking about how easy this was to print materials with Amazon.
What about ministry books? I prayed, "Should I do that?" I heard: "I am with you whithersoever you go."
So I went ... immediately! (an open door)
I began writing ministry books. Pam set the form up with KDP. We selected book cover. Within a couple of days, I had a book ready: "Taking Thoughts Captive"
Pam sent the material in the KDP tools as required. Within a day or two, the book was on the shelf at Amazon and people could purchase it in kindle format. And it was available all over the world.
It cost us nothing at all to do this.
Incredible.
I have so many men come to me saying they are "pastors" and they have a goal to go all over the world and preach the gospel and they want me to give them money to enable them to do this.
The way of these many pastors is a very hard yoke ... and I never hear these pastors speak any gospel and don't even know if they have anything to speak that is of God.
I do have many messages and these messages are authored by the Spirit of God.
Within about 3 weeks, we had published 10 books on Amazon. Then I began looking at what it would take to put these books into paperback format. It would cost us nothing to do this. We worked through Amazon publisher, Create a Space. Within the month, all 10 books were listed on Amazon in both formats, paperback and kindle.
It costs us nothing at all. (We even receive a royalty for each book sold.)
And we go all over the world.
So now we go all over the world 3 ways:
- blog: free to all / printed daily / messages appear in timely way / we can warn the church as we receive warnings / goes all over the world / costs us nothing to publish this
- Kindle books
- Paperback books
This example should show the characteristics of the wisdom that is from God:
James 3:17 ... 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Evaluate your plans ... First pray over each "good idea" ...
Look at James 3:17 ...
And if your ego is involved in any form, beware! For where envy and strife is there is confusion and every evil work. James 3
