Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
We are incredibly blessed that God has chosen us to be His children, giving us His Holy Spirit, and He is our Father. Nothing on this earth can compare to what we have through God ...
- By His Word we know the way to we are to go. And God's way is the best way for us to go.
- God has given us His Spirit living in us, leading us, guiding us, teaching us in ways of God.
- Our provision is of God. God knows exactly what we need and His provision for us never falls short.
- God never leaves us nor forsake us (what an
wonderful promise!)
- God gives us His wisdom when we ask. And His
wisdom will never fail. When we have wisdom from God in a
matter, it will work, bringing about the purpose of God in the
matter.
- And we are blessed by God not only as we live on this earth,
but for eternity. This world is only a temporary place for us.
That which is to come is far better than anything of this
world ... new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth
righteousness, in which we will be with HIM forever.
If we seek reward from men and things of this world (such as status, money, praise), our ways become corrupted. And the rewards of this world that entice the flesh prove to be short-lived and eventually unsatisfying, and will be completely destroyed.
But God is exceeding great reward to those who are chosen by God and believe God and go in the ways of God, seeking to please HIM and not ourselves.
