Keep your heart with all diligence

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Prov. 4 ... 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, (stubbornly unruly mouth)
and perverse lips put far from thee. (lips which insist in speaking things which are contrary to instructions in Bible)

25 Let thine eyes look right on,
and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

26 Ponder the path of thy feet, (think about carefully before making decision / pray over)
and let all thy ways be established. (wait until God shows you what to do and you are fully persuaded it is God showing you what to do in a way you can understand)

27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:
remove thy foot from evil.

Jesus told his disciples the following:

Mt. 15... 11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? 13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. 14 Let them alone:they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable. 16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? 17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:20 These are the things which defile a man:but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

If someone says something and offends you and you fail to take this matter to God in prayer, that which was said can go into your heart and end up causing you to be defiled.

Unforgiveness causes us to be defiled as the evil will grow in our own hearts and in time bear fruit.

Recently a woman told me a story which had happened to her many years before.  It happened when she was working.  She said a woman hated her and they were on an elevator together and this woman accused her of looking like a stick instead of having a womanly figure.

This incident has lived inside this woman for about 30 years and she had never dealt with it in a spiritual way and all of a sudden what was in her heart all these years came out of her mouth as she was speaking with me.

Had the woman listened to her own words, she could have corrected herself.  But to have darkness on a subject living in your heart for many years uncorrected by you is serious.

So we need to listen to ourselves after we speak or while we are speaking.

We need to be aware of the Holy Spirit who will quicken our statement to us, giving us opportunity to seek God.  We must correct ourselves otherwise we will be judged.

Therefore we continually "keep our hearts" with all diligence ... Taking issues to God when people say things to offend us.  Allowing ourselves to be healed by God through prayer and set straight again and cleaned up with that which God gives us concerning the offense.

We must do this as long as we live on this earth.
