A godly woman

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Prov. 31 ... The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

Hopefully you have someone in your life, now or in past, who is a godly woman.  My aunt was such.  And though my mother did not attend any church, my dad could certainly safely trust in her.  Both she and my aunt considered their husbands and respected their husbands and I can say with assurance they would have done good to their husbands and not evil all the days of their lives.

A godly woman considers her family and knows clearly  if she were to commit sin would hurt herself and her family.  And if sin passes in front of a godly woman, she would cry out to God for help in avoiding that sin.  And she would flee from the sin as Joseph in the OT fled from Potiphar's wife who tried to entice him to sin. Gen. 39

A godly woman would hate evil and love good. She is not going to be sitting at home in secret watching fornication and adultery on TV.  She would hate the idea of both fornication and adultery.  It would not tickle her flesh because she hates the evil.  She would flee from the TV or turn the picture off the TV when such came into shows.  This is what a "godly" woman would do.  And if you as a woman find you are excited and love fleshly scenes on TV and you live vicariously through such then you are not a godly woman.  You are an evil woman hiding in religion.  For godly women hate evil.

A godly woman would care more about the word of God than her own fleshly desires.  She would put away flesh to serve God.  She would thereby love God. And by doing the word of God (HIS commandments) she loves the church. (I Jn. 5:2 ...By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.)

A godly woman would be trustworthy and faithful to both God and man.

Heb. 3 ... Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; 2Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.  3For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. 4For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. 5And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; 6But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
7Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, 8Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. 10Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. 11So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)  12Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Paul warned us that in the last days perilous times would come because men (and women) would be lovers of their own selves ... pursuing their own desires and casting aside the word of God to fulfill their own desires. This would happen in the churches.  Paul says they would have "a form of godliness", perhaps attending church and looking good on the outside while in secret they would do many evil things.  These evil doers in the church group look godly to others.  They are "always learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth".  And Paul says:  evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.  II Tim. 3

Paul says if they call themselves a "brother" (or sister in Christ) while committing fornication, drunkenness, and such sins, put them away from you.  Do not eat with them.  Put them out of the church and do not allow them to sit among you.  I Cor. 5  They are like leaven working through the whole congregation while they sin and approve various sins.

But that godly woman will be faithful to God, faithful to the Word of God, faithful to her husband and to her children and there will be no need of fear concerning her.

And there is no fear concerning the "godly" single woman who has never married.  She will not be committing sex outside marriage if she is a "godly" woman because it would be a sin against God HIMSELF and against the Word of God and a "godly" woman does not sin against God and HIS word therefore we can trust her.

Ungodly women who try to hide in the church so often reveal themselves.  They just can't keep from speaking of their ungodly acts.  I believe the following applies to them.   Their folly will be known unto all and they will proceed no further.  II Tim. 3

Certainly we have the right to expect each woman in the church to be "godly" ... I never consider such a woman can be anything but godly when she dares to attend church or contact meAnd "woe" to the ungodly woman who tries to sit among the church.  That woman lets herself in for more punishment than she ever dreamed possible when she tries to fool the church and tries to be part of the church when she is committing ungodly acts. A really terrible thing.

But let's think of godly women and if we come across an ungodly woman in church let us put such a woman away from us.  This is what Paul says to do.  I Cor. 5
