πŸ’₯ Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.

 
We have a promise from God telling us that HE will help us in all things and HE will show us what to do as we live on this earth.

We learn to wait on HIS Word in the issue.

And when God brings to our mind a Word, we go in that Word, when we recognize that Word is from God.

We recognize the Word from God by the following:

James 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Matthew 11:30  (Jesus says)  For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.

If something is very difficult to do, complex, or would put a burden on us and our household, then we can know that plan is not from God for us.

Stop.  Pray again.  And wait for God to show us what to do.

Proverbs 3

5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

(Every time we pray we put our trust in God and connect with God.)

6 In all thy ways acknowledge HIM, and HE shall direct thy paths.

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

When we are troubled by a person or a plan, we can know something is wrong with the way we are about to go.

Pray, asking God to stop us if need be.

God might change our heart to accept that person or plan.  But if we continue to dread doing the plan, we really need to stop and pray and rethink the plan.   If we try to continue when we really don't want to do that thing, we will likely find out we made a big mistake.  God was trying to warn us.

Sometimes there will be a person we just don't feel comfortable with.  We can pray and ask God for wisdom.  But after we pray, if we still feel uncomfortable with that person we need to stop.

Pam Padgett was assigned to computer programming teams when she worked at Fed Ex.  There was a worker assigned to her team and she had to go to the manager and ask to be reassigned because she just found she was unable to work with this man.

Recently I allowed myself to be persuaded to "upgrade" one of my cables between my TV and sound processor.  I felt uncomfortable with the plan and "dreaded" the appointment.  But I went through the STOP signs.  After the worker finished the job and left, the TV picture was terrible.

I still had the old cables and could hook them up again and when I did this, the picture was very good again.

If it isn't broken, don't fix it!

I allowed myself to be influence by a man who was a specialist and said it needed to be updated for the future.  But it wasn't defective.  I should have waited until "future" to upgrade.

So when we feel dread, something is wrong with our plan, or it is the wrong person we are trying to work with.

After prayer, if we still dread that which is planned, we can justly assume God is leading us and showing us this will not work out well for us.  Something is wrong.  The Spirit of Truth in us will guide us into all truth.  So stop if you continue to dread the appointment or if you feel troubled by the person with whom you are trying to work.

Resist the temptation to think something is just wrong with you.  Pray.  Commit yourself to God.  Ask HIM to correct you if needed.  But then if you still dread that which you have planned, stop the project.

The Holy Spirit teaches us all things and guides us into all truth.  (Jn. 14:26 & Jn. 16:13) 

So trust God to change our heart if we are supposed to do that plan or work with that person.  And if we continue to feel this, stop, trusting that something is wrong even if we don't know exactly what is wrong.

Lean not to your own understanding ... Just know that you have turned to God and you still feel something is wrong.

There are many doors to destruction.

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

When a person dies, I often think, "And what NOW?"

Those who hate "the Word" often call the Bible legalistic.

They think they should be free to do that which they want to do.

This is one of the many gates to destruction.

The Word is the way of life and "few" there be that find it.

God once said to me:  "Many want to be free to sin."

"Few want to be free from sin."

Following "the Word" makes us free from sin.

The Word says:

Concerning fornication:

πŸ’₯  Flee fornication.  Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.  (I Cor. 6:18)

πŸ’₯  What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE (The Word), shall be one flesh.  (I Cor. 6:16)  At the time of sexual intercourse, the two are made one even when you have sex with a prostitute.

Concerning divorce and remarriage:

πŸ’₯  But I (the Word) say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.  (Mt. 5:32)

* The man who divorces "a faithful wife", causes her to commit adultery if she remarries.

* The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

πŸ’₯  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.  (I Cor. 7:10-11)  This is a commandment of the Lord.  The divorced woman has 2 choices:  remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband

πŸ’₯  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.  (I Cor. 7:39)

πŸ’₯  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.  3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. (Romans 7:2-3)

*  The only time a married woman is free to remarry is if her husband dies.  Otherwise she will commit adultery and the man who marries her, as a divorced woman, will commit adultery.

12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.  (Mark 10:11-12)  And the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.  (Mt. 5:32)

They were not born homosexual or lesbian, but the Word says God gave them over to these "vile affections".

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.


Without natural affections:  Mothers killing their own babies.  Abortion ... and homosexuals & lesbians.

As we pray over all things, we connect with God in all matters pertaining to this life.

Jesus tells us this makes us worthy to escape that which is coming upon this earth.

Luke 21  (Jesus says)

33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY words shall not pass away. 

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
 
 
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

We put our trust in God each time we pray over that which we do on this earth and each time we pray over all our concerns ... and by prayer we connect with God and make ourselves worthy to escape that which is coming upon this earth.

We also learn to cancel appointments when we are greatly troubled after prayer.

Speculation of humans can be filled with evil thinking.

Also when we tell what we have heard, if what we heard was wrong, we can be accountable for spreading false witness.

To try to explain what is happening, giving reasons, is also very dangerous.

In his wisdom from God Solomon said:

Proverbs 26:16

The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.

(I'm learning to stop giving a reason unless I'm sure I've heard from God.)

Being wise in her own eyes was part of the downfall of Eve.

Genesis 3

1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

(Eve added to the Word of God.  God did not say, "Neither shall ye touch it.")

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

(Humans greatly desire to be as gods, explaining "why" something happened.)

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

(People want other people to see them as being "wise" without God.)

People also want to take pride in other humans.

But when I tell what God said or did, they often want to run away from me.

Give glory to God!  Show HIS word and HIS work.

John 14:26-27  (Jesus said)

13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of HIMSELF; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

14 He (the Holy Spirit) shall glorify ME (the Word): for HE shall receive of MINE, and shall shew it unto you.

John 7:18  (Jesus said)   He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh HIS glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

When I know I'm going to be with other people, I often pray asking God to have me speak only what HE wants me to speak.

And from the time that God started training me to work as a minister, HE showed me not to plan anything.  Just step out on stage and speak that which the Holy Spirit brought to my mind, scripture or example.  And God taught me to write this way on blog and record this way on Podcasts.

My example was the apostle Paul:

I Corinthians 2  (Paul says:)

1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and HIM crucified.

3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

πŸ’₯ David says: "The LORD (the Word) is my shepherd. I shall not want."

 
Certainly this Psalm of David is valid for today's church who have as their shepherd Jesus, The Word.

Psalm 23

1 The LORD (The Word) is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 HE (The Word) maketh me to lie down in green pastures: HE (The Word) leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 HE (The Word) restoreth my soul: HE (The Word) leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for THOU art with me; THY rod and THY staff they comfort me.

5 THOU preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

There will be problems from time to time, but we have the promise of God that HE will provide all our need by Christ Jesus, The Word.

Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus (The Word).

In the midst of the problem, God will show us what to do and we go through that problem overcoming all things by the Word which God brings to our mind by the Holy Spirit.

God will never fail us nor forsake us and HE will lead us at all times by The Word which HE brings to our mind by HIS Spirit.

The people of the world depend on themselves and other people.

We depend on the living God who always helps us and strengthens us and shows us what to do.

God is our strength and power and "HE maketh our way perfect."  (2 Samuel 22:33)

(When the translators add a word in KJV, they put that added word in italics.  Verse 11, they added the word "thing".  It should read "no good will HE withhold".)

The Lord, the Word, is a sun and a shield.

The Word shows me the way to go on this earth.

The Word shields me from people and from things that would harm me and prohibit me from serving GOD and from going in HIS plan for me.

Pray.  Wait on HIS Word.  Go in HIS Word.  Rejoice in HIS Word.

πŸ’₯ The Word says: The joy of the Lord, the Word, is my strength.


God strengthens and guides us by giving us HIS word in times of need as we live on this present earth.  The Holy Spirit brings to our mind various scripture to help us endure and be strengthened in faith in God in the problem.

Write out these verses and keep them before you day and night during the problem. 

We continually rejoice in HIS word which helps us and strengthens us.

Nehemiah 8:10  

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD (the Word) is your strength.

In the midst of the problem, God often sends a scripture to our mind.  That scripture restores us to the Word of God and it is our joy.  It meets our need in the problem.  Be sure to write out that scripture and keep it before you day and night for a season.  Follow the instruction given in the scripture. It is the way to go in the issue and is the way to overcoming the matter at hand.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

God often speaks to man by the Holy Spirit of God, leading man in the way to go by reminding him of a portion of scripture.

Ephesians 4:26  Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

One day, all of a sudden, fearful thoughts came to my mind:  "What will you do if you get to where you can't walk?  You won't be able to live here if you can't walk.  What then?  Where will you go?  What will happen to you?"

I cried out:  "Oh ... God help me!"

And immediately I was reminded of this scripture:  "But my God shall supply all your need."  (Philippians 4:19)

"That's right!"  I cried out.  "God will supply all my need!"

Concerning the Old Testament:

I Corinthians 10:11  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Also many promises of God from Old Testament are valid for us today in the church:

Isaiah 54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.

Psalm 23:1-3  The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 HE maketh me to lie down in green pastures: HE leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 HE restoreth my soul: HE leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS name's sake.

Isaiah 26:3-4  THOU wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE: because he trusteth in THEE. 4 Trust ye in the LORD (the Word) for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

Psalm 1:1-3  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD (the Word); and in HIS law doth HE meditate day and night.  3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

In today's church, the Holy Spirit of God lives in each believer to guide them into all truth, to teach them all things, to remind them of all Jesus has said, and to show them things to come.

I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

John 14:26  (Jesus says)  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.


And the Holy Spirit searches the heart of God to show us the will of God for us.

I Corinthians 2

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

We need to be able to recognize the difference between the "voice" of the Holy Spirit and the "voice" of the devil and the thinking of our own flesh.

πŸ’₯ GOD says: I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.


Hebrews 13:5  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for HE hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

This same concept from God is presented in Joshua 1, as follows:

To Joshua God says:

Joshua 1

5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

(I have found God does the same thing for us today who are called by HIM and serve HIM.)


7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

(We do all the laws of God in the New Testament Bible when we are called by God to serve HIM in the New Testament Church.)

8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

(We do the laws of God written in the New Testament Bible, Jesus, The Word being our sacrifice for sins.)

Many of the promises of God made to the chosen of God in the Old Testament Bible apply to us today.

Scriptures such as the following are given by God to the church of the New Testament.

Isaiah 54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.

This is a promise of GOD which is valid for today's church.

GOD will help us through all problems of this life.

In the Book of Isaiah, in the Old Testament, we read the following promise of God to the people of God.
 
God says:

Isaiah 54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.

Is this promise of God valid for the New Testament church today?

As a new Christian in 1975, I had an opportunity to prove the validity of this scripture in a very big test involving my business which I ran at that period of time.

Ephesians 3:20

Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

The power that worketh is us in the power of the Holy Spirit of God who teaches us all things, reminds us of all that Jesus, the Word, has said to us, guides us unto all truth, and shows us things to come.

John 14:26  Jesus says:  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The Holy Spirit of God lives inside each believer and helps us to know what to do by bringing to our mind ideas even when we are doing a secular project.

The Holy Spirit is "the helper" to show us the way to go in issues of this present life.  He simply brings ideas to us to show us God's thinking concerning our projects and also wisdom from God in spiritual concepts.

HE is the "Spirit of truth."

One time, a young man said the Bible is too legalistic.

This troubled me greatly.

The Holy Spirit then told me the truth from God's view.  HE said, "The people of the world want freedom to sin.  The people of God want freedom from sin."  

The Word of God gives us freedom from sin when we do that which the Word says to do.

And the Holy Spirit reminded me of this scripture.  The Words of Jesus.

Matthew 7:13-14  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Also I am reminded of this as I write this:

Proverbs 14:12  There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

For example:  In 2020, I was considering re-upholstering my 1994 car seat.  As I thought about doing this, the following came to my mind:  "Or you could just buy a new car."

(This was the Holy Spirit showing me an even better way to go.)

I had just sold my house in Texas and the money was in the bank account.  I had no debt.  I could just buy a new car.

I was 81-years old at that time, and knowing that this idea came from God gave me "faith" to spend money on a new car.  I felt God was showing me I would not need that money in the future.  

That night, God gave me a dream that I had bought a new car.  I felt this confirmed the best way for me to go in this situation.

John 10:10  (Jesus says:)

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (the Word) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The Holy Spirit searches the heart of God to show us the will of God in the issues of this present life.

I Corinthians 2

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Sometimes we will start to do something but will have "no peace" about what we are about to do.

Or we might have "no joy" in that plan.

These should be "stop signs" for us.  Back off and pray again for God's wisdom.

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him

If we yoke ourselves to a plan of man, we might be uncomfortable in that which we are about to do.  The Holy Spirit is trying to warn us.

Matthew 11  (Jesus, The Word, says:)

28 Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.

God taught me that if something is very complex or overly expensive, I need to stop and pray again asking God for wisdom.  For God's way is "easy" and HIS burden is "light".

My cleaning woman came to me and said, "Don't you ever feel you have to keep up with the Jones'?"

I was a little shocked by this question and I asked her to repeat it.

She said, "Don't you ever feel you need to outdo other people ... or to have a car as good as they have?"

I thought seriously about this and then replied, "No ... I don't believe I do."  

"Emulations" is a sin of the flesh.

(emulate: to equal or excel over another person)

Galatians 5

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

James 3

13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

So if we have envy or strife, we can pray as David did:

Psalm 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

(I've often prayed this over myself when I've encountered this world and their wisdom and plans.  And God has always helped me and restored my thinking to HIMSELF and HIS ways.)

At the time I was born again in 1975, I owned a small business in American Indian arts in Dallas, Texas.

I saw scripture which showed me God would help me with the selection of merchandise for my business.

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

So before I went to buy merchandise for the shop, I would ask God to give me wisdom in what I should buy.

God had given me a natural eye to be able to judge turquoise stones.  So I could see the quality of the stone.

God also showed me to focus on those items that I really liked, items that held my interest!

And I really believe the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth, in both spiritual and secular matters.

John 14:26  Jesus says: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

So I asked God to help me with my business:

πŸ’₯ Before going to the reservation, I prayed for God to have the Indian artist to make the items I needed for my shop.

πŸ’₯ Before I went to buy the items, I prayed for God to show me what to buy.

πŸ’₯ And when I returned from buying trips, I prayed for God to send the angels out to bring the customers into my store to buy the items.

I never had a sale  (except when I closed the business in July, 1979, to go into the ministry.  Then I sold items for less 10 percent.) and everything I purchased for my business sold from 1975 though 1979!

From the time I was born again until the present day, I learned to follow the leading of God by HIS Spirit.

I am currently 85 years old.

Recently I found a need for a sugar bowl for my room.  

(Pam Padgett brings me my food and drink.  She usually puts sugar in my coffee and iced tea, but occasionally I feel a need for a little more sugar which I could add if I bought a sugar bowl.)

I prayed for God to help me and I went to Amazon to look for a small sugar bowl.

At first, the quality didn't interest me.  I remember saying aloud, "These don't seem to be interesting to me."  (I must have been talking with God because no one else was in my room.)

So I went to another internet listing ... And things of great interest came on my Kindle tablet.

First, I saw this:  



I thought this was really spectacular!

But I wasn't looking for a desk.  And I didn't have any space in my room to put such an item.

Then I saw something else that greatly intrigued me:



These items were wonderful, I thought.  They were all made by one artist.  A woman named Victoria Mackenzie Child who lives in upper New York state.

I had dealt with artists in my business for many years and I often recognized art work.  Also God was leading me!

After going though the items offered by this store in Boston, the following idea came to my mind:  I could turn 1/2 of my walk in closet into an office area and put that desk into that space!

(I can't use the closet for clothes because I can't stand up physically to reach the clothes because I can't walk and can only use walker or wheelchair.)

So I decided to buy that desk and then many ideas came (one by one) which I believe were of God.

On 2 walls of the closet I thought of black and white striped wallpaper:



And on the other wall of the closet, I found the following stick on glass tile:

 
 
I put the following rug under the desk:  (also designed by Mackenzie Child)



And I changed the louvered closet doors to sliding doors to allow more space:

* I have to keep a porta-potty in my bedroom because it is too dangerous at night for me to go into the bathroom which is across the hall.  Pam Padgett began to have ideas concerning decorating the porta-potty with stick on black and white checked wallpaper and to make striped arms and legs and to put a Mackenzie Child designed "Queen bee" pillow as back rest on the porta-potty.

Then I bought the 27" ceramic Butler Frog to go beside the porto-potty ... and on the other side a Mackenzie-Child designed waste basket.



After that, I thought the project items were finished, but then I had one more idea come to me:  "Put gold colored Victorian style fringe on the closet clothes rod that runs across the length of that part of clothes closet."

(I began looking on Internet and found the following fringe in Pittsburgh and bought a yard of fringe.)


That finished the project.

God led me giving me one idea after another for approximately 3 days.

Pam was able to do much of the work:  hang wallpaper and tile and decorate porta-potty

Our handyman switched the closet doors from bi-fold to sliding.

God guides us by bringing to our mind ideas by the Holy Spirit ... even on secular projects!

In 2018, I fell at my house in Texas where I lived alone.

I was badly injured.  My left hip and left wrist were badly broken.  I couldn't move without great pain.  I was about 6 ft from the nearest phone.  I lived alone.  No one was due to come to my house for a week.  I would likely had died there on that floor except for one thing.  God gave me a word.  

As I tried to crawl the pain was so great that I would move about 1 inch and stop.  I almost fell unconscious.  I was 81 years old at that time.

God brought a word to my mind by the Holy Spirit.  God said:  "You can do this."

It took me about 4 1/2 hours to inch myself to a phone.  But I could do that because of the word which God spoke to me.

I once asked a young woman this:  "After you pray, how do you recognize those ideas that are from God?"

(She seemed shocked:  I'm not sure that she knew some ideas are from devils and some ideas from our own fleshly desires and are opposite to the will of God.)

James 3

If something is overly expensive, very complex, very difficult I always know I have yoked myself to plans of this world or humans.  For God's yoke is easy and HIS burden is light.

Back off and pray, asking God for wisdom if that plan is too hard or would drain you of all your money and cause you to go into debt.

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

πŸ’₯ The gates of hell will not prevail against that Word that comes down from above.


Matthew 16

13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, HE asked HIS disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15 HE saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but MY Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I (the Word) will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The Word is the rock that overcomes all on this present earth.

The Word the church hears from God stands against all troubles that come on this earth and by "that Word"  we know what to do in the situations of this present life.

Story of Pam Padgett:  Pam was diagnosed with an high grade bladder cancer in September 2022.  The cancer specialist in Denver told Pam that without treatment she would die within two years, and prescribed 4 treatments of chemotherapy followed by surgical removal of her bladder.

Pam did not object to the chemo, but to remove an organ given us by God and require her to deal without her bladder for the remainder of her life was very troubling.

So Pam began praying, asking God if there was another way to deal with this problem.

After prayer, Pam saw a statement published by the American Society of Clinical Oncologists.  They said:  Chemotherapy with radiation may give the same benefits as surgical removal of the bladder.

Pam felt this was an answer from God to her concerning her prayer to be spared the surgical removal of her bladder!

But how could she get the medical people to change to this chemo/radiation treatment and cancel plans for the surgery?

God gave Pam a dream:  She was meeting with a doctor in doctor's office.  A "man" was sitting beside Pam during the session and was there to help Pam with the doctor.

Pam felt God was showing her that HE would provide help and support for her as she met with the doctor.

Each of the medical people involved with Pam's case said she was not "an ideal candidate for the chemo/radiation treatments."  But each agreed they would set this up and do this treatment if Pam wanted them to do this!  

Pam had already had 3 of the chemo treatments planned before surgery.   They switched the chemo to fit the radiation.  
 
The chemo doctor told Pam the chemo treatment with radiation was much harder on the human body than the chemo given when surgery was planned.  This doctor told Pam she might have to be hospitalized or even need blood transfusions.  

Amazingly Pam found the new form of chemo to be easier than the previous 3 treatments.  

The chemo/radiation treatments were administered between December, 2022 and mid-January, 2023.

Following the chemo/radiation treatments, 2 examinations were scheduled for April 2023 to establish the status of the cancer after the treatments.

Then the devil began sending thoughts to Pam's mind:  Thoughts such as:  "What if cancer is found?"  

Pam turned to God with these thoughts and God showed her to just hold fast to that which HE had instructed!  Pam focused on the dreams she had been given and the Words from God which had led her to choose chemo/radiation.

And God gave Pam another dream:  There were 2 bags filled with waste and doctors were looking for disease in these bags but they found no disease in either of the two examinations.

Pam believed God was showing her the findings of the 2 exams scheduled in April, 2023, after the cancer treatments.

The gates of hell will not stand against that Word which God has given us concerning the specific problem with which we are dealing on this earth.

Pam describes the 2 examinations of April 2023:

Exam # 1:  This exam was at a urologist's office where a scope was used to look inside my bladder. 
 
The urologist started out by saying that his understanding is that I had gone to see the specialist/surgeon in Denver and it sounded like I wasn't "keen" on having my bladder removed. I laughed and told him that was correct. 
 
He went on to explain that with the scope he would be checking to see if the chemo had done what was needed, but that if he found a problem it could probably be taken care of with a more minor surgery than was needed last September. (I felt he was trying to prepare me for him finding a problem.) 
 
But as he looked in my bladder, he said "This looks great!"  He said this at least 3 times as he checked various things in the bladder. He did find a small red area, but said nothing needs to be done about that at this time. He'll just monitor it. 
 
Overall, he seemed surprised as he said "This looks great!"


Exam # 2: A CT scan was done to see if there were any signs of cancer in my body.  A few days after the CT scan was done, I met with the radiation oncologist and also with the chemo doctor.  They both said that the CT scan revealed no cancer.  
 

The cancer was gone!

(The rock is that Word sent to us from heaven.  The gates of hell will not prevail against that Word given to us by God by HIS Holy Spirit.)

Focus on what God has told you.  Keep that Word before you day and night.  Turn not to the right or to the left during the battle.
