Podcast: Sharing daily with the church

Hebrews 3:12-14 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Hebrews 10:23-25 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Philemon v6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

Ezekiel 3:26 And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house.

Hymn: Trust & Obey

We are temporarily having difficulty playing hymns on blog.

To hear music for this hymn click here:   Trust and Obey

1.  When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way;

While we do His good will,
He abides in us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Chorus:

Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,

But to trust and obey.

2.  Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His WORD quickly drives it away;

Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3.  Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;

Not a grief or a loss,
Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.

4.  But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay;

For the favor He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5.  Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;

What He says we will do;
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.

Scriptures pertaining to this hymn:

Psalm 111:10    The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do HIS commandments: HIS praise endureth for ever.

The fear of the Lord is a deep respect for God and The Word.

When we "fear" God, we are basically afraid to go in a way opposite to God's Word for we have an inner understanding that God knows what is best and to violate what HE says is to go in a way of self destruction.

Therefore our trust is based on the awe we have for God.

And we obey God, doing what HE says to us by HIS Spirit.

In December, 2018, at the age of 81, I fell at my house.

As the ambulance people were removing me and we reached the front door, I heard the following word in the form of a thought that came to my mind:  "You'll never see this house again."

 I believed that thought was from God.

Therefore I believed there would be another way for me to go if I survived the accident.

I put my house up for sale even as I was awaiting surgery.

A church person said to me, "I don't see how you can do that."  (I don't think she understood faith in God.)

I explained to her that when you believe you have heard from God and there is a way to go, you simply obey ... no hesitation.

I never looked back and I never saw that house again.

I did not know where I would go when I put the house up for sale but I knew God would work it out for me and reveal it to me and God did within a few weeks.  A woman in our little church group took me (and my cat) into her house to live in Colorado.  She is a very godly woman and prays over everything!  It is a great joy for me to live in a house with such a person.

My life was made better after my accident, not worse.

God had a plan for me and I knew HIS plan was all that mattered.

πŸ’₯ Sharing daily with the church

(Listed in alphabetical order:)

 πŸ’₯ Joan Boney

John 14:27  (Jesus says)  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Matthew 24  (Jesus says)

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

37 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY words shall not pass away.

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but MY Father only.

42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Proverbs 4:5  Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of My mouth. 6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. 7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. 9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

10 Hear, O my son, and receive My sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. 11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. 12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.

Today is a rather busy day here. Movers are scheduled to be here between1-3pm to box a very heavy amplifier (135 lbs) that needs repair and move a working amplifier just like it into its place. In addition, I would also like them to move a loveseat to the basement and some beds in a bedroom upstairs.

There are several things I needed to do to prepare for the movers coming. This morning while considering what needed to be done I was reminded of the following ...

Proverbs16:3  Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

This reminded me to pray, asking God to lead me in getting things ready, having HIM be in charge of the preparations.

Interestingly, I found myself doing things in a different order than I had thought I would do them. My thoughts were changed and established by God in how to do things.

By a little after 11am, two hours before the earliest time the movers would come, everything was done. I was able to calmly enjoyed reading what was shared by various people today from God, feeling no pressure to get anything done, for everything was done!

Isaiah 55:8-9 For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways, and MY thoughts than your thoughts.

Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.

When I read this verse, it always makes me think about how God’s way is the only way that will work.

His Word to us is the only way to go. Nothing else will work. Nothing else will stand. His Word, in all things, is perfection.

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.

Reminds me of the beautiful flowers that Joan gets during the year that only last for a season and then have to be replaced with new ones.  But God’s word lasts eternally! I feel very blessed.

Awhile back one of my sons had been out of a job for quite some time. He was rather discouraged and down. I had a dream where he called me and told me that he got the job in Elyria (a nearby town). This made me happy and gave me hope for him.  I think I told him about the dream, so he could have hope   too.

Then after some time he called me and told me he did get a job and what company. There are several of those companies in other cities and I kept wanting to know which city. He finally told me it was the one in Elyria.

2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear: but of power of love and of a sound mind.

When we keep our mind on the problem, rather than turning to God for help, it can cause much frustration.

I needed to turn in medical test information to the doctors office today (kidney failure). I thought of taking it there myself. Then the thought came to me to call my neighbor to see if she would take me. When I did that her husband volunteered to take me instead. He is a truck driver by trade. It took a short period of time and worked out well. He mentioned The Bible and the way people act today.

CHURCH GATHERING
IN COLORADO SPRINGS:
July 22-26, 2024

We are going to try to conduct these meetings as Paul said to do when we gather as the church:

I Corinthians 14:26  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm (prayer), hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

I Corinthians 14:31   For ye may all prophesy (share) one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

And in the Bible, Jesus says to us:

Matthew 18:20  For where two or three are gathered together in MY name, there am I in the midst of them.

πŸ’₯ I know that my redeemer lives.

Luke 24

1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

6 HE is not here, but is risen: remember how HE spake unto you when HE was yet in Galilee,

7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

8 And they remembered HIS words,

9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

Romans 8

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of HIS.

10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11 But if the Spirit of HIM that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, HE that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by HIS Spirit that dwelleth in you.

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

 CHURCH GATHERING
IN COLORADO SPRINGS:
July 22-26, 2024

We would love to have you join us!

We will depend on God to draw out of each of us edifying things to help the church see God.  We will depend on God to give each individual what he or she needs.  We believe God will increase our faith in HIM by the words brought forth by individuals who attend.  No messages will be pre-planned.  We will trust God to bring forth what HE wants us to hear through one another as the Holy Spirit, Who is in us, reminds individuals of scripture or stories of that which God has done in their lives and they share those things with the group.  This is what the gathering of the church was supposed to be!

I Corinthians 14:31   For ye may all prophesy (share) one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

And in the Bible, Jesus says to us:

Matthew 18:20  For where two or three are gathered together in MY name, there am I in the midst of them.

Hymn: Standing on the promises

We are temporarily having difficulty playing hymns on blog.

1.  Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
Through eternal ages let His praises ring,
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,

Standing on the promises of God.

Chorus:

Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of
Christ my Savior;
Standing, standing,

I’m standing on the promises of God.

2.   Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail,

Standing on the promises of God.

3.  Standing on the promises I now can see
Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;
Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,

Standing on the promises of God.

4.  Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,

Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,
Standing on the promises of God.

5.  Standing on the promises I shall not fall,
List’ning every moment to the Spirit’s call.
Resting in my Savior as my All in all,

Standing on the promises of God.

*****

The following scripture pertains to this hymn:

Joshua 1:5   I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Matthew 28:20   lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

***

v. 2   By the living Word of God I shall prevail,

The living word is that word that comes down to us from heaven.  It is put into our mind by God by HIS Spirit, by the Spirit of Jesus.  By this "living word" we know what to do.

John 6   Jesus says:

32-33   My Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.  For the bread of God is HE which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

48-51   I (The Word) am that bread of life.  Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.  I am the living bread which came down from heaven:

Jesus, The Word, is the Word that comes down from heaven.  The living word of God is the word spoken to us by the Spirit of God.  By His Spirit, God will bring to our mind ideas that show us what to do, or scriptures which show us what to do.  And when it is that Word of God, it will never fail.  We can put our trust in what we have heard from God by His Spirit.

The living word of God is just exactly that, living, because it pertains to the exact subject we are dealing with at that moment in time.

We
can hunt for a scripture and fail. Or we can try to figure out what to do and fail.

But we will not fail when it is the Holy Spirit bringing the concept or a scripture to our mind to guide us in the matter at hand.

***

Here are promises from Jesus concerning the work the Holy Spirit will do for us.

John 14:26    But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13    Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself (of His own thinking); but whatsoever He shall hear (from God), that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.

4 things the Holy Spirit does for the believer:

- HE teaches us all things. (secular and spiritual)
- HE reminds us of all Jesus has said to us through scripture, dreams, concepts
- HE guides us into all truth.  (often one thing at a time ... you do the first thing ... then a second idea comes and you do that ... on until the matter is resolved)
- HE shows us things to come.  (often by dreams ... sometimes by just knowing)

***

v. 3   Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,

We are freed every time we have a word from God brought to our mind by His Spirit, and when we believe and act on that word in the midst of the trial or temptation.

***

v. 4   Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,

God speaks to each of His children by His Spirit which lives inside each child.  The Holy Spirit brings thoughts from God to our minds to show us the way of God and the will of God as we live on this earth.

We overcome the trials and temptations of this present earth as we hear from the Holy Spirit daily, and take appropriate action to the instruction given by the Spirit.

You do have to be careful.  For the devil will try to imitate God and bring thoughts to your mind which are opposite to the way God wants you to go.  And often our own fleshly preferences will bring thoughts to us which seem good to us, but are opposite to the way God wants us to go.

James 3:14-16   ... But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.  This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.  For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

So if that is the case, you must repent and pray for God to correct your own heart.  For you will not likely to be able to hear correctly until you are corrected.

Otherwise:  Prove all things by prayer and Bible.  If you will ask God to confirm the way to go and to make it clear to you which thought is HIS, and if you will take time before you act, it will be made clear to you which thought is from God.  Also in the Bible we have a scripture which tells us how to recognize the wisdom that is from God.

James 3:17   But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

***

v. 5   List’ning every moment to the Spirit’s call.
Resting in my Savior as my All in all,

Once we have established that a thought is from God, we must focus on that thought and rest in that word that we have heard from God concerning the matter at hand after doing that instruction in an appropriate way.  Often, we have to keep that word before us day and night to be strong enough to continue in that direction.

Joshua 1:8-9   This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Have not I commanded thee?

(When God brings a word to our mind by HIS Spirit or when a scripture is made to stand out to us, that is God "commanding" us and we think on that word, taking action when needed, according to that word.)

Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

πŸ’₯ Sharing daily with the church

(Listed in alphabetical order:)

πŸ’₯ Joan Boney:

I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

The Holy Spirit dwells in each person who is born again.  And the Holy Spirit does the following to help us.

John 14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

(People often think "they" thought of that scripture.  But  I recall that Jesus said the Holy Spirit reminds us of all Jesus has said.  Therefore it is the Holy Spirit who has brought that scripture to our mind.  This is so important, for when God by HIS Spirit brings a scripture to our mind and we know that, it should give us additional faith to do that scripture and to put our trust in that verse for it is God speaking it to us.)

John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth  for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify ME: for HE shall receive of MINE, and shall shew it unto you.

(If we speak of ourselves, of our own thinking, of our own ideas we glorify ourselves.  But if the Holy Spirit reminds us of something and we do that and tell others God by HIS Spirit told us to do that, then we glorify God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit.)

Give glory to God by recognizing before others that it was God who told us "that".

One morning when we still lived in Pennsylvania. I woke up knowing we could move to South Carolina. Cliff was close to retiring and both our parents had died and our daughter had been in South Carolina for several years.

A few days later I had a dream that the house we were to buy was water front and the entrance was on the right side of the house. It took a while to sell our house then we moved to South Carolina and rented a place and started looking for this specific house.

It took us 6 months but we did find it and have lived here to this day.

Acts 17:28   FOR IN HIM WE LIVE, AND MOVE, AND HAVE OUR BEING; AS CERTAIN ALSO OF YOUR OWN POETS HAVE SAID, FOR WE ARE ALSO HIS OFFSPRING.

(JB ... Acts 17:26  NIV Original Translatiion)  HE (God) determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.)

Several years ago when I was looking for a new home near where my secular job was moving, I quickly found a tudor-style house which I really liked. But when I submitted an offer to buy that house I learned that another offer had been accepted by the sellers just 30 minutes before they received my offer. It was hard for me to recover from not being able to buy that house.

The house I was living in at the time had already sold, so I needed to find another house. But as I looked at other houses, none interested me like that tudor-style house.

Finally, one evening I poured out how I felt to God.   (Psalm 62:8 Trust in HIM at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before HIM: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

And I asked God to please give me wisdom about finding a house to buy.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

After praying, a thought came to my mind by the Holy Spirit to go through flyers I had collected from each of the houses I had looked at. There were 8-10 houses.

I started going through the flyers, one by one. As I reviewed each house, something about the house was drawn to my attention by the Holy Spirit showing it wouldn't work for me ... except one house. I was shown nothing that would be a problem for me with this one house.

I made arrangements to go see that house again. As I went through the house the second time, my attention was drawn to things I liked very much about the house, but hadn't noticed when I first saw it. I purchased this house.

A few weeks after moving into this house, at the grocery store I saw the seller of the tudor-style house. He told me how fortunate I was that I had not bought their house. The new roof that had been put on that house shortly before it was sold had not been installed correctly and when heavy rains came, water poured into the house. The people who bought the house were left with a terrible mess to deal with.

And not long after that, the small neighborhood where the tudor-style house was located landed up in a court battle with a developer over proposed new development.

I was very grateful to God for having been spared these problems.

The house I was led to buy has worked out so well for me. I've lived here more than 20 years and have enjoyed it very much.

In 2018 when I was led by God to have a bedroom and handicap-accessible shower added to the main level of the house, the layout of this house allowed me to make these additions relatively easily. Although I didn't know it at the time I started the renovations, Joan would move into that area right after they were finished in February 2019.

God gave me wisdom in which house would be best for me at the time I bought it and also years in the future!

Romans 6:22-23   But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ (The Word)  our Lord.

I am very grateful to God for sacrificing his Son Jesus so that I may have eternal life if I continue to follow God as long as I live. I never want to forget who has saved my life and sacrificed His Son for me, that keeps me going and humble!

There was a time when our washer wasn’t working and we needed to get a new one. Meanwhile I would have to take my laundry to the laundromat or someone else’s house. We did get a new washer, but my husband wasn’t getting it hooked up so that I could use it.

One day I was so filled with anger over this. I couldn’t get it under control. All day long I just kept crying out to God, asking Him to help me get rid of this anger. Toward later afternoon or evening I did get more settled. My son came to visit and I was so glad I was able to be calm and not say anything about the situation.

The next day, I was totally okay, the anger was completely gone! I still had to pack up my laundry and take it somewhere else to do, but I was okay with it, no anger. God had really done a work in me I couldn’t do myself. Then very shortly after this, probably a couple days, my husband did hook up the washer.

CHURCH GATHERING
IN COLORADO SPRINGS:
July 22-26, 2024

We would love to have you join us!

We will depend on God to draw ( out of each of us edifying things to help the church see God.

This should be very exciting!  (And it should end up being led by God and therefore what God wants us to hear!)

And in the Bible, Jesus says to us:

Matthew 18:20  For where two or three are gathered together in MY name, there am I in the midst of them.

πŸ’₯ Nothing is equal to the Word of God nor to the kingdom of God.

Matthew 13  Jesus says:

44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Podcast: Psalm 16

8 I have set the LORD (the Word) always before me: because  HE (the Word)  is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

10 For THOU wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt THOU suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

11 THOU wilt shew me the path of life: in THY presence is fulness of joy; at THY right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

(Physical and emotional healings should take place with Jesus there in the midst of us!  We should also be greatly strengthened for the end-time events that are to come upon this present earth.)

Some might be born again and changed for ever.

And each of us should be strengthened in God.

And it will be fun to just be together ... and it is very beautiful here ... and cool! (1 moved here from Texas. I've been here 5 years so I really appreciate the climate and especially the Rocky Mountains!)

You can fly to Denver, approximately 50 miles to north side of Colorado Springs where we live.

Or you can fly to Colorado Springs.

By next week we hope to name convention hotel and announce some reduced rates for our group.

(We will take an early head count in mid February ... watch for it in blog!)

Hymn: Praise Him, Praise Him, Jesus our blessed redeemer

(Click forward arrow > to play music:)

(www.hymnal.net):

1.  Praise Him! praise Him!
Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!

Sing, ye saints! His wonderful love proclaim!

Hail Him! hail Him! mightiest angels in glory;

Strength and honor give to His holy name!

Like a shepherd, Jesus will feed His people,

In His WORD He carries them all day long;

O ye saints that live in the light of His presence,

Praise Him! praise Him!
ever in joyful song!

2.  Praise Him! praise Him!
Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,

For our sins He suffered and bled and died;

He, our Rock, our Hope of eternal salvation,

Hail Him! hail Him!
Jesus, the Crucified;

Loving Savior, meekly enduring sorrow,

Crowned with thorns that cruelly pierced His brow;
Once for us rejected, despised, and forsaken,

Prince of Glory, ever triumphant now.

3.   Praise Him! praise Him!
Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,

Heavenly portals, loud with hosannahs ring!
(portal:  doorway, way in, way out)

Jesus, Savior, reigneth for ever and ever;

Crown Him! crown Him!
Prophet and Priest and King!

Death is vanquished!

Tell it with joy, ye faithful,
Where is now thy victory, boasting grave?

Jesus lives!

No longer thy portals are cheerless;
Jesus lives, the mighty and strong to save.

Scripture pertaining to this hymn:

Romans 5:5-9     the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.  For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.  For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
But God commendeth HIS love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

(We didn't shed our blood for our sins, but Jesus shed His blood to pay for our sins ... without shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins  Hebrews 9:22 ... we cannot hope to pay for our sins and our wrong actions by our good works ... only by shed blood are we redeemed from sin and cleansed)

Revelation 5:1-14   And I saw in the right hand of HIM that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.

And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

And HE came and took the book out of the right hand of HIM that sat upon the throne.

And when HE had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, THOU art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for THOU wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by THY blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto HIM that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped HIM that liveth for ever and ever.

Luke 24:1-8   Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

(The dead human body decays and stinks. They brought spices to cover the odor of death. But God was not going to suffer the body of Jesus to see corruption as other flesh sees corruption.)

And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

HE is not here, but is risen: remember how HE spake unto you when HE was yet in Galilee,

Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

And they remembered HIS words,
