Galatians 5:15-16 ... This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall
not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the
Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one
to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Psalm 148:13 ... Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
Psalm 100:3 ... Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made
us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his
pasture.

Evil communications corrupt good manners
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
I Cor. 15 ... Paul said ... Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
There are some people who bring out the worst in us and we go away from them sorry that we acted as we did. There are settings that bring out the worst in us. There are books and TV shows that bring out the worst in us. We are affected when we put ourselves in the path of some things and in the path of some people. I have relatives that I just can't call on phone and visit with them. Each time I do this, I grieve. So I have learned to avoid this. There are places I find bringing out the worst in me. I had to quit playing bridge because this was happening to me when I went to the bridge center. Each of us have to identify such things for ourselves and learn to put such away from us for it does affect us in a wrong way.

If you can stop the day or the night ...
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
In Jeremiah 33, we see such interesting concept concerning God and HIS covenant. Basically God is saying, "If you can stop the day from coming and the sun from shinning that day ... or if you can stop the night from coming, then MY covenant can be stopped."
Of course we can't stop the day or the night from coming ... so we know God's covenant is as secure as our inability to stop the day or the night.
Jeremiah 33 ... And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying, 20Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; 21Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers. 22As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me. 23Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying, 24Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them. 25Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; 26Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
God's covenant with the New Testament Church:
Heb. 8 ...For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb. 10 ... This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ
Proverbs 10:19 ... In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
Continue in the liberty Jesus purchased for us
Pam Padgett ... teacher
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
When we were born again, we were freed to live by faith, having the Holy Spirit in us bringing us the word of God and leading us so we are able to go in the way of God. We are freed to serve God by following His Spirit. Not trying to follow a set of rules by our minds. Not being bound by ways of this world and lusts of our flesh.
The devil also tries to put us in bondage to things which are not of God, often by bringing condemning thoughts as one of his snares.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
We resist the devil by being steadfast in the faith, standing firm in paying attention to what God has spoken to us through His Spirit and doing those things. When other thoughts come, we can turn to God and allow ourselves to be established in HIS will, our thoughts brought into obedience to the word of God, that we might continue in the liberty Jesus has purchased for us.
As HIS sheep, we seek to follow only HIS voice, the word that the Holy Spirit brings showing the way of life, and to flee others ...
John 10:2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

Following God
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
And this is what really matters ... hearing from the Spirit of God and following HIM by heeding that which the Spirit of God speaks to you.
The bottom line to everything is hearing from God by HIS Spirit.
If we have the Spirit of God then God is the teacher.
But
the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need
not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of
all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you,
ye shall abide in him.
I Jn. 2:27
I Jn. 2:27
The Spirit of God that is in us "whispers" ideas to our minds, showing us what to do and showing us where to focus.
Therefore
we can only "abide in HIM" by hearing the whisperings of the Spirit of
God and living by what we hear from the Spirit of God, making adjustment
to our life as needed.
I
find there are not many who actually have the Spirit of God though they
think they belong to God ... Nor are there many who actually follow the
Spirit of God.

Psalm 71:3 ... Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually

and my fortress.
Psalm 19:14 ... Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

The word of God is powerful
Pam Padgett ... teacher
Matthew 8:5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, 6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. 7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. 8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. 9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
Even though Jesus was willing to physically go to heal the servant of the centurion, the centurion knew that by only speaking, Jesus could heal his servant. Just as the centurion spoke and the people under him did as he said, the centurion recognized that by just speaking, Jesus had great power, even over the servant's afflictions. Jesus only needed to speak, and the servant's affliction would be healed.
The centurion wanted his servant to be healed. But his faith was not in his desire. His faith was in Jesus, in what Jesus said. He knew his servant would be healed if Jesus spoke. And he was ...
Matthew 8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. 11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
While reading this account it stood out to me how powerful the word of God is. In whatever we face, the word of God brought to us by the Holy Spirit is what is important. This is the power of God in the situation, showing His view and His will in what we're dealing with. Our faith can only be in the word given to us by God in the matter. As we believe the word brought to our attention by the Holy Spirit, and go according to that word, we see the power of God in the situation.
Another example I believe shows the power of the word of God in our lives ... recently I asked God to show me His view of a problem I had with a woman I once worked with. I was reminded of a scripture that cut right through the matter, clearly showing me how I was wrong in how I handled the situation. (I contacted her and apologized.) It was amazing how this scripture drove directly to the heart of the matter and laid it open. It didn't matter what I thought; I wasn't able to sort through the situation myself. But the word of God on the matter very clearly and powerfully shined a light on the truth.
Hebrews 4: 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

God knows, even if no one else knows
Renee Bonfield ... evangelist
One time in the 1980's I was a new Christian. I
went to the super market to buy some groceries. After paying my bill, I picked up a TV guide not intending to steal
it, but walked out of the store without paying for it.
As I was on my way home, about two blocks from the store, the thought kept coming to me that this is a big chain store, and they will never know or miss this money. Then I just couldn't continue going home. I had the feeling that this is like stealing and that I must go back to the store and pay for this.
I went to the same checker and explained that I had left the store without paying for the TV guide and would like to pay for it now. The checker said "Oh that's Ok you don't have to pay for it." I said "Oh yes I do" She said "Why, know one will know" I said "God will know, and He watches everything I do." Then she reluctantly took the money.

Money will be of no value
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
The prophet, Isaiah, spoke of a time when gold and silver (money) would be of no help to man.
Isaiah 2 ... And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. 20In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; 21To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. 22Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
In the day of the Lord, God will move the earth, shake the earth. Men will be terrified for there will be nothing at all they can do.
God showed this to me in the following dream: The earth slipped on it's axis. The scientists and religious leaders were meeting with the politicians to see what could be done. A TV newscaster was trying to present a report of this and he was so terrified he stopped speaking and couldn't finish the report.
At the time God shakes the earth and moves the earth in the solar system, man can do nothing. And this will happen prior to the day of the Lord and the return of Jesus.
At the present time the earth is hung in the solar system. It is just floating in space, not hanging on anything. The earth is kept in place by God, as are all things in the solar system. The time will come when God speaks and the heavens and earth will move out of place. Things we can't even imagine will happen. But nothing will be the same again. Money, property, all those things man trusts in will be valueless at that time. It is hard to imagine what it will be like but the prophets of Old Testament told of it. And also we read about it in New Testament. We know it will happen.
Heb. 12 ... See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: 26Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29For our God is a consuming fire.
II Peter 3 ... But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Eze. 7:19 ... They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

Philippians 3:13-14 ... Brethren, I count not myself to have
apprehended:but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are
behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I
press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ
Jesus.
Psalm 96:4-5 ... For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. 5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.

Faith used by devil as a trap
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
When you think God is leading you to do something, it is so important to "try the spirit" to see if the spirit that brought that idea to you is from God. (I Jn. 4:1 ... Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:)
Satan comes with thoughts like "an angel of light" ... II Cor. 11
It can seem like God speaking ... and we can get excited that we heard something from God ... But we must confirm that which we heard, trying the spirit that carried that idea which seems like a good work.
I try the spirit by prayer, asking God for confirmation. And I wait until I am persuaded whether the idea is God telling me to do something or whether it is from another spirit.
If the idea would cause me to go into debt, I know it is not God but is a trap. Sometimes the idea will cause us to spend money the wrong way. For example: I receive many invitations from pastors around the world. They invite me to come speak to their church groups. Often they invite me to speak at minister conferences or to help young ministers. But is this God's way for me? So I settle it through prayer and by waiting for God to confirm HIS way. Recently I had a dream which showed me if I went out it would be a needless waste of money and it would trap me out there and it would be difficult for me to get back to where I am now. Where am I now? I am doing these writings which go all over the world and cost us nothing except for the advertising which helps the writings to be more visible on Internet. And is it really important for them to see me in the flesh? What is important is the message I carry. And I carry that message daily on Internet for all in the world to be able to see. I know God doesn't want me to travel. And if I did travel, it would use the money and my energy in another way. As it is now, we use the money to buy more advertising so we can be visible to all in the world in a greater way. And all my energy is devoted to hearing from God and sharing that all over this present world by Internet.
And what is visible is the message of exhortation, not our own flesh. So you see how going out in the flesh would stop much of the real work of God. The devil would like me to travel, stopping the work while seeming to do the work. But God wants me to do the work which HE has shown me to do which is the Internet writing which God gave me a dream which showed me to write on Internet. So I stay home and write, using our money to advertise so more can see the writings around the world.
Faith has to be based on hearing what God wants you to do in the issue at hand.
Abraham went out by faith. But the important thing is this. God told Abraham to go out. Then Abraham went after hearing from God. (At one time God told me not to go out, so I stayed home.) Faith is always based on hearing first from God. Noah heard from God telling him to build an arc. There are people today who try to make provision for future without hearing from God. Paul heard from Jesus on road to Damascus.
So many ministers who contact me tell me of their works but they do not tell me of the Spirit of God speaking to them to do these works. And mostly the works are great burdens to themselves and their families. And usually they end up asking me for money to help them to do the work. I always know in these cases their work is not of God and they are following another spirit. For when God is leading us there is "no want". Psalm 23:1 ... HIS yoke is easy and HIS burden is light. Mt. 11 ... There is "no need" when God is leading. Phil. 4:19
Phil. 4:19

Scripture: Shared by body of Christ
Proverbs 10:29 ... The way of the Lord is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
Proverbs 29:25 ... The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
2 Corinthians 3:5 ... Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
Proverbs 29:25 ... The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
2 Corinthians 3:5 ... Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
Seek reward from God, not man

Receiving praise and admiration from those around us is something the flesh desires. There are temptations to do works and actions in such a way that they will be seen by others. But Jesus told us this is what hypocrites do ... doing works that appear to be "good", while really seeking to advance themselves among men. And the glory of man is the only reward to be gained by doing this.
Jesus taught us to do the opposite, to not try to be seen by others when we give alms, or pray, or fast. Quietly and simply going about what we are led of the Holy Spirit to do, that we might please our heavenly Father. Although other people will not know what we have done, our Father sees all things, even those things done in secret. When we act according to the will of God, HE will reward openly.
Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. 2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; 18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Glory of man is fleeting, quickly forgotten. Rewards from God will not be forgotten by Him, and are of great value.

Blessings and curses

Jeremiah 17 ... Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 8For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
I am shocked over and over when people mention "these hard times" ... Often they say such things. One day I received phone call from a worldly institution asking for a monthly pledge. The fund raiser (who was a paid fund raiser) really tried to pressure me into making a monthly pledge for crippled children (a seemingly good work). It was obvious she was reading from a pre-written speach. The pressure was enormous. One thing she said is, "In these hard times, I know it is difficult to give but ..."
I really marveled at these words she used. (I did not give her money)
We have missed "these hard times" ... God has led us in a way during the years where we completely missed the financial difficulties many others are facing.
But we have not been trying to get money nor have we been trying to "do more for God" as some ministers say they are trying. We just try to do that which God shows us to do. And no more!
And when we do that, we find HIS yoke is easy and HIS burden is light, just as the scriptures tell us. Mt. 11
Concerning cursing yourself ... Jeremiah 17 ... Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 6For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
There are people who read the exhortations we write and cannot see when good cometh. They are following another spirit and become hardened to the real exhortation from the Spirit of God.
We also see there is a time God will send a strong delusion so they will believe a lie so all will be damned who had pleasure in unrighteousness ...
II Thess. 2 ... And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
The messages we write from the Spirit of God are comfort and instruction to those who are of God ... but these same messages are condemnation to those who say they are Christian but pursue their own thinking and reject the truth of the exhortation.
Heb. 11 ... Noah condemned man ... because Noah believed God and did what God told him to do.
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Heb. 11:7
Jesus said ... Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Jn. 8
So the word of God blesses those who follow the word of God ... and the same word condemns those who do not follow the word.
