πŸ’₯ God calls that minister whom HE has chosen and causes the minister to be created for the ministry office to which HE has been placed by God and Jesus, giving the minister instructions so he can do the office in the NT church.

2 Corinthians 3:6

“(God) also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.”

From heaven, Jesus gives  ministers to the New Testament church:

Ephesians 4:8; 11-12

Wherefore HE (Jesus) saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

11-12  (Jesus gives 5 ministry offices to the New Testament churches)

11 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Many church people today do not know what apostles and prophets do in the NT church.

* Apostles:  Acts 15  A question arose in the early church and the apostles made a ruling, inspired by God, as to what the Christians would do and would not do. These rulings were set for the church in the New Testament Bible.

Bible doctrines of Christ: such as
   * Divorce/Remarriage:  Mt.5:32; Mk.10; I Cor. 7:10;11 & v. 39; Romans 7:2-3

So the doctrines of Christ are set for us throughout the New Testament Bible.

But in the early churches some men set up their churches in ways opposite to the doctrines of Christ in the New Testament Bible. Today's apostles will try to get both the church groups and all individual Christians to return to the doctrines set in the New Testament Bible.

And at the end time, before Jesus returns to gather the church, some churches fell away from some doctrines of Christ and set up other doctrines in their churches and this is the end time apostasy that God showed to the apostle Paul.

2 Thessalonians 2 ... the apostasy :  the falling away of doctrines of Christ set in the NT Bible.  antichrist in the church group ... Paul says v.3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the return of Jesus) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The falling away are people falling away from scriptures, setting up other doctrines for the church to go by.  This is antichrist in the church in the end times.  Which is where we are right now.  Apostles will try to get them to give up the false doctrines and go by the new testament Bible doctrines set up by the original apostles.

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

At the coming of Jesus, HE will judge today's apostate churches as follows:

2 Thessalonians  2:8  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

This is the work of the New Testament apostle today to turn Christians back to the doctrines of the New Testament Bible

Apostles of the early church set the doctrines of Christ into writing throughout the New Testament so we would understand how we are to behave in the New Testament church today.

Prophets

This is the work of the New Testament prophet as described by God to the prophet Ezekiel in the Old Testament.

Ezekiel 3:4-11

4 And HE(God) said unto me (Ezekiel), Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with MY words unto them. (Prophets are sent to the church people.)

5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel; (to church people)

6 Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.

7 But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto ME: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.

8 Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.

9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

10 Moreover HE said unto me, Son of man, all MY words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.

11 And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord God; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.

This is the work of the New Testament prophet today, carrying messages from God to the church people, often corrections.

Here is an example of a New Testament prophet working in the early church

Acts 11:27-30

27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch. (These were prophets coming to the New Testament church.)

28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:

30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
