Genesis 1:14-18 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

God made the sun and moon and stars to give light to the earth. The focus is on the earth ..... to provide light. This is God's plan to provide support and care of the earth. Here HE created man in HIS image. Here HE sent HIS son to be crucified. Here HE will gather HIS saints at the end of days. HIS focus and covenant is with the inhabitants of this one planet in the universe.
This does not speak of the vastness of the universe and of all of the solar systems surrounding diverse suns and planets. It does not speak of aliens or space. Humans think they have discovered great new places when a new star or planet is discovered, when God created them all to provide light to the earth. In our homes the floor lamp does not possess the focus or all meaning of what happens in the home. Just as the heavens do not possess the focus of all meaning of HIS plan for the earth. The plan for the earth is salvation for those who belong to God. HIS plan for salvation occurs here on this one planet ..... the earth.
Humans love to present themselves as wise with what is called "scientific discovery." It is yet another way to explain away God's plan for us. Yet another form of antichrist changing the scriptures. The current popular TV show, "Big Bang Theory" always bothered me. I know that this was not how the earth was created. Antichrist is everywhere in our society ..... beware.
