One request I had of God during this period of time was that the house would sell quickly and not linger on the market for a long time.
As it turned out, on the third day after it was listed for sale, a couple saw it and it went under contract to them, at that time, and they ended up buying it!
Another way God helped me. At one point, the buyers were having some second thoughts and one day when we were talking about this with our realtor, I had a strong desire to say…These people are not going to buy this house.
It was all I could do to keep from blurting this out. But with the urge to say this was also a strong warning coming to me I believed to be from God THAT I SHOULD NOT SAY THIS.
I knew I had to quickly turn to God and ask HIM to please not let me say this! So I prayed and God gave me the strength to remain quiet. What I wanted to say was a lie anyway because they were the very people who ended up buying the house!
Reflecting on this earlier today, I was reminded of the following scripture where Jesus tells us that the devil is a liar…
John 8:44 (Jesus said) Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
